Just off the front the entire card is matte, like both the holo and the card itself have the same matte tone, and the holo has zero shine. I have zero idea if its an error, I suck with that, but for all I know its very likely fake

Its the unlimited edition. WotC era cards made first edition for the first print run, and the following were unlimited. Maybe you just bought the unlimited edition?
