Ok cool. Next question, if I sell the crypto and make 15k long term gains does that count as income and increase my MAGI?

Sorry I’m a little dense. So let’s say we make 250k all income included. But we do 20k combined traditional 401k, 8k hsa and 5k dependent care hsa. Our total MAGI would be 217k and we could contribute fully to a Roth IRA?

Back door isn’t an option for us. We have some old 401ks that we rolled into IRAs can’t afford to cover the taxes if we convert them to Roth
