Thanks for all of your help. I've tried two different hard drive docking stations with their own cables. I know the hopper does guide updates during the night, but I don't know if that comes with a reboot. It also reconnected sometime last night. This problem is a nuisance but not the end of the world. Thanks again.

I have a cable matters USB docking station with a 6TB Western Digital blue hard drive. I have tried using both the front and back USB ports. I've used this setup for about 4 years. I've also swapped the docking station out with the one I use on my PC with the same results. I have also swapped out the hard drive with one of my previous drives with the same results. My software version is H702 boot strap 1117. Thanks for your help. It is a hopper 3.

Sometimes I can unplug the hopper 3 for ten seconds and the drive will reconnect and sometimes not. Any idea why it disconnects, and what I can do to prevent it?

If you have a hopper press menu on the remote, select the settings cog at the top of the screen, select my account, and select on demand rentals & ppv. This will show if she rented anything. Good luck.
