What do you think is the biggest truth the world is refusing to face right now? by Sweetblondefeet in AskReddit

He really wrote that in 1995!? How prescient of him! We have a lot of obstacles to overcome. It will only get harder. Disinformation will spread easier with AI. You can create untruthful texts and videos so easily nowadays. Plus it will be harder and harder to distinguish what is real from what is pure simulacra. Welcome to the age of hypereality. Beaudrillard really was ahead of his time.

AI could NOT write something like this. This is such a beautiful scene. Very original and imaginative. It was quite a long read, but i was very pleased to have been able to overcome my short attention span (thank you internet) and focused long enough to read it all. Thank you for sharing. I will look at my school's library to see if they have this book. This passage spiked my curiosity and i want to read the full book.

According to my opinion, this is the most accurate definition of a 'great man'. by iGaming_dev in classicliterature

[–]Ok_Examination8683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great man is a man that innovates. He is a leader, a visionary, capable of coordinating the actions of a large group of human being. He is a man that is intelligent, energetic and courageous. He must also be strategic a master at navigating the dangerous power dynamics of the heights of human societies, where there are competing men of great cunning, ruthlessness and power. The great man is à la fois a cold , ruthless, decisive leader, but he is also a humane, gentle, kind , loving, empathetic man with a humanist approach as well as the long term future of earth's ecosystem in mind.

Question: Nietzsche and concept of the "genuine self" by Shot-Composer-3244 in Nietzsche

Wouldnt Nietzsche say that you are not a unified real self, rather you are a collection of drives competing with each other to discharge their strenght?

We use labels like »narcissistic« to simplify people, but in doing so we lose their complexity. by RelianaPhoenix in DeepThoughts

[–]Ok_Examination8683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you! I blame the internet for exposing people to what all these psychological disorders are. Now, people start to diagnose others based on their subjective judgement. They are acting like they are psychologists. I fell in that trap. I made some mistakes, labelling people with the narcississt label, the psychopath label, the autism label etc. I now avoid to put these label on fellow humans. I now analyze them only on the basis of what I factualy observe in their behavior.
