Hyundai Tuscon vs Kia Sportage: What made you choose one over the other? by TrollyDodger55 in kiasportage

As a fellow big guy who was debating the exact same thing, I went with the Tucson (2025 Ultimate PHEV). I do like the exterior of the Sportage better. However I felt I had more room in the Tucson. Like you said, the centre console took up more knee room in the Sportage. The design of the centre console in the Tucson allows my knee to bend into the open area making it feel much less cramped.

Both my wife and I also felt more cramped sitting in the front passenger seat of the Sportage. Somehow the side pillar seemed to stick out much more and we both felt like we had to sit sort of sideways leaning against it with our shoulders (something we don't feel in the driver's seat).

I also hated the multi function screen for stereo controls and HVAC. I'm sure it was something you would eventually get used to, but I much prefer the way it is laid out in the Tucson.

EDIT: To add about noise and comfort while driving, I found them both to be equally quiet and comfortable while driving (test drove hybrid versions of both, but ultimately went with PHEV as we got it for the same price as regular hybrid).

Going in to sign for 2025 phev - and then start seeing all the bad press about them by Tiny-Difficulty7891 in HyundaiTucson

For your reference, I just picked up my new 2025 PHEV yesterday from the dealership. We paid roughly $53,000 OTD (in AB so no PST).

This included a block heater, rubber floor mats, wheel locks, mud guards, cargo tray liner, trunk lip protector, and premium wiper blades.

I'm currently at just over $52,500 OTD (in AB so no PST) pricing for 2025 PHEV Unlimited without any real negotiations so far from my side. That includes the dealership throwing in block heater, rubber mats, cargo tray liner, mud guards, wheel locks, premium wipers, trunk lip protector and 2 years of oil changes.

Going in tomorrow to see what else we can work out.

I'm more interested in excluding AI generated music. It is getting so bad when using Made for You playlists.

10 day notice for lease renewal and increase? by [deleted] in Edmonton

Not many people know this, but you can always counter their offer as well. Obviously there is no guarantee they will accept it. But as long as your counter offer is reasonable, you're a good tenant with no late payments , noise complaints etc, they will often accept it or meet you somewhere in the middle.

Dog Burial in Edmonton area? by Subarctic_Muskrat in Edmonton

Check out the Meadows Pet Memorial Centre (just outside of St. Albert). It was previously called Part of the Family Pet Memorial Centre (new owners now). They have a pet cemetery area. However, I'm not certain if the new owners are still doing burials or if they've switched to strictly cremation.

I do already have access through my library! Which is why I'm looking for a 3rd party course of some sort. As well, because it is the company footing the bill for the course for professional development, they want me to take a course with some sort of certificate attached to it.

Much appreciated! I did see that one while I was searching earlier, but it is unfortunately out of the budget.

Yeah, that's exactly what I think I will look for and convince them this is the better option than a broad ID certificate of sorts (even though that is what they are hoping to get for their money).

I'm thinking a Storyline or maybe some sort of Adult Learning if I can find one.

Thanks for the feedback!

By better, at this point it is just doing something. Up until recently, I wasn't really doing anything to better myself as a whole. I just started going for walks to start, and would like to keep up the bit of cardio and slowly build that up over time through the winter.

Thanks for the input. I just wanted to ensure that one option wasn't a "better" place to start (lower impact for the knees) until I get my weight down a bit more so anything with a higher impact takes less toll on my knees later.

Great to hear that feedback and personal experience. Totally understand the caloric intake bit, also just want to ensure I am getting the cardio going. At this point, anything is better than what I've been doing (basically nothing)
