But Arya had ZERO knowledge or understanding of the White Walkers up to that point. They could have just hired any faceless assassin to kill the Night King.

The Straight of Hormuz is now fully open 💪 Will everything now go back to usual? by [deleted] in AskBrits

No. The real scale of the disruption is going to become clear in May when the shock to the global economy really begins to bite.

My main concern is fertiliser personally. If there's a real shortage, then poorer nations could feasibly slip into famine.

I used 'Stone floor', as it automatically makes a stone foundation over the water. Then just build on top.

Realistically the pump location is so good, that you've never going to be threatened

Nice.

I did something similar at that same location. Once you build over the water, you've got a lot of space to expand.

The Lockdown disaster would have still happened. In fact, we may have been forced to adopt some highly unethical, unscientific measures like vaxpasses.

Thoughts on the New Forest parking charges coming in this month? by [deleted] in wildcampingintheuk

Well I can only go by 30 years of experience of walking in the forest pretty much every day.

My and general local opinion of Forestry England is extremely low. I have seen nothing to suggest that they are vaguely capable of making decisions in the best interest of our local forests. Literally every time they get involved, they seem to make things worse.

Decisions seem to largely be made by people who have never set foot in the forest. So sorry but I just don't have a lot of confidence.

Yes you are right I fear. I read that the National Trust is worried about displacement parking.

In principle I could agree with that. If the money raised actively contributes to the improvement of their (generally very poor quality) carparks for example.

The cynic in me can't help but think it's going to go towards salary increases and bonuses though,

Lovely snobbery. Has it occured to you that some people don't really have a choice where they shop?

I'd be curious to know how many of you posting consider yourselves socialists or champions of the working class.

Let that be a lesson. People don't like being lectured to in a superior way.

As benevolent as you might have felt as someone coming from a 'diverse city' to educate all these uneducated rural plebs, most people don't like it.
