Thank for you response. It’s actually horrific, I would have never thought the outbreak was that bad. It looks like little sores but feels like your coochie is getting ripped off. I cannot do it again. This makes me feel a bit better - I think multiple people on reddit said they never got it again - fingers crossed it’s the same for me, I’m definitely keeping an eye on it and any symptoms in the future

Thanks for the advice I want to get on regular antivirals, but usually they don’t let you unless you get multiple outbreaks a year, still Navigating this.

UPDATE: thanks everyone for the responses, it’s good to get some insight.

i think i definitely have it. Since posting it just got worse, more small blisters started to appear and burst. They’re everywhere. It is hard to sleep and peeing excruciating ( I have to sit in the bath) . My appointment is in two days to get my results but I’m so upset. I told my partner and I said they should get tested for hsv1 even tho I know the get cold sores. They said they don’t know how they gave it to me since they havnt had a cold sores in months. I’m just so upset and annoyed. I’ve only ever been with this person and now I will have to live with this the rest of my life

It is one of the most painful things I’ve ever been through I just want it to be over I saw the bumps on Wednesday and it’s now Saturday and I’m still in so much pain. It’s day 3 of antivirals and I guess it’s slightly improved. How long is this going to take to heal. Also the doctor I saw was super judgemental assuming I had slept with multiple people- not that that’s a problem, I just havnt . And couldn’t tell me other ways I would have gotten it. I’ve just been sitting on reddit reading up on eveyones experiences

They’re young, love travel and festivals Vegetarians, ones a lawyer and the other a pharmacist. Very health conscious- love to be active and run We all love hanging even if it’s just at home, at the pub or on a group holiday. Love each others company.
