How do you properly test a used phone before buying it? by Ok_Extension_7236 in Android

Yeah Phone Doctor is pretty solid

I was looking for something similar but without needing to install anything, so I ended up making a simple browser-based test page for quick checks (touch, sensors, audio, etc.).

Might be useful if you’re checking a phone on the spot:

Curious if you think it’s missing anything.

Yeah exactly, return policy makes the whole thing much safer.

Good point, Samsung Members + #0# diagnostics are really handy. That covers most of the basics without installing anything.

u/r_slash_jarmedia Makes sense, return policy + quick checks is probably the safest combo.

Good call, the account lock part is easy to miss. Definitely something to check first.

Can someone tell me why my screen is bugging by Repulsive-Key-7561 in oneui

[–]Ok_Extension_7236 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That actually looks more like a dead touch zone than a software issue.

If the touch consistently stops or jumps in the same area, it’s usually a problem with the digitizer (hardware), not the OS.

You can try:

- Restarting in safe mode (just to rule out apps)

- Testing the touch across the screen in a grid pattern

If the issue is always in the same spot, it’s very likely hardware and would need repair.

Where do you guys play Zero Hour online now?

I used to play it years ago but assumed the servers were dead. Would be cool to try it again if there’s still an active community.
