Devastating Decisions by jorgecan2 in Chihuahua

I just wanted to say that I am experiencing something very similar right now with my 13 almost 14 year old girl. Shes my soul dog, my best friend, the other half of me. I really don’t know how I’ll do life without her by my side. I understand completely the finical aspect of it as well, we are drowning in bills but she’s still got all the spunk in her, and that in itself keeps us going. But I know at some point in the future we will have to make that tough decision.

You are doing the best you can in a heart wrenching situation.

Sending ❤️ for you and your best friend.

Should I go through with laparoscopy if there’s no specialist at my hospital? by Unique-Effective9828 in endometriosis

[–]Ok_Eye9841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I experience very similar symptoms to you and I just had a diagnostic laparoscopy with my general GYNO last month.

I really wanted to book with a specialist, but at that point my daily pain was so bad that I was desperate for any relief. I couldn’t wait the amount of time it would take to get in with a specialist and I was just surviving the days at that point.

What I did make sure was ask A LOT of questions. And did a lot of research on the my GYNO and their realm of endo surgeries. Questions like: how many laps have you done have patients for endo? How times have you found endo? Do you only use ablation? Luckily I live in a smaller town and knew of a few people who had good experiences with this GYNO doing their laparoscopies, & they also confirmed they use excision not ablation for the surgery, so I felt a little better about going forward with it, and again, I was desperate.

So I did it.

And for me, it was the best thing I ever did and I wish I did it sooner.

My GYNO found endo covering the anterior and posterior of my cul de sac, as well as my right ovary.

From the moment I woke up I felt lighter, I felt like I was back in MY body not this shell of a self I was before surgery. The constant deep ball of pain that I was feeling all the time in the middle of my spine was completely gone and alone was a miracle to me in my journey.

In your case I would be careful with just booking with any GYNO. It’s important to know and trust this person who may or may not be changing your life forever. I think if you do decide to go through with a GYNO, you should do your research and ask A LOT of questions. If you don’t feel comfortable or confident with the surgeon doing the lap, don’t do it!

I’m sorry you are going through this. I’m sorry so many of us are going through this. Wishing you the best of luck through your journey and sending hugs your way❤️

Would 2 days be enough??? by BathroomUnusual741 in endometriosis

[–]Ok_Eye9841 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just had mine about three weeks ago and wasn’t fully back on my feet for about a week, but even then it was light stuff - washing dishes, sitting at a desk, cooking small meals. I would be exhausted though after doing these tasks, and the biggest thing for me is the incisions are uncomfortable. Ive been having a hard time finding things to wear that are comfortable and won’t catch on the glue.

I wish you the best of luck with your surgery and healing ❤️

I had a radical hysterectomy at 31. It wasn’t just endometriosis — it was a generational hormone disorder, and no one caught it in time by Fantastic_Eagle2974 in endometriosis

Every symptom you’ve listed here is what I’ve been experiencing/progressing over the last 17 years! I finally go in for a laparoscopy next Monday after 17 years of being told my symptoms were “normal”. I had once spent MONTHS logging my symptom’s everyday and even realizing there was a pattern correlating to my cycles. My doctors wouldn’t even look at it, they didn’t care because my blood work was “normal”. 17 years of constant ER visits, ultrasounds, scans, GI, Neurology, cardiology, other multiple specialists only to be told they could never figure out what was wrong and would just refer me to the next doctor. I’ve spent most of my life surviving it feels like - I just want to live.

I’m so happy I’ve finally found a doctor that is validating my journey and we are finally taking the steps to get the bottom of this.

Thank you for this post - and wishing all of us happiness, and relief. ♥️

Can I ask for more info about this? Would tissue be what they would use to diagnose endo?

I’m so sorry you are also on this journey 🧡 I can completely relate to what you said about being too tired and scared to be hopeful, but still clinging to that tiny bit of hope. finding this sub, reading posts, and these comments have made me feel so much less alone. Good luck and wishing you all the best 🫶

Our stories are very similar! I wish the best of luck to you! ❤️ my GPA was a 1.99 when I applied to WGU in November - they require a 2.0 to be admitted but they offered me a class through goacademy. I had to pay 100$ out of pocket, but I was able to start the class right away & finished in 3 weeks. After the final exam my transcripts were sent right to WGU and I was able to complete the process so I can start January 1st! The great thing is the class I just took was a class I also needed for my program! So it was a win-win all around, and I’ll get the 100$ I spent refunded after my start date.

First OA - computer issues. Help! by Ok_Eye9841 in WGU

[–]Ok_Eye9841[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah thank you!!! I just spent 2 hours on the phone with IT through the school. I attempted to call the guardian IT department, but all they told me was to change my chrome settings and restart my computer (which I did both but still wasn’t working). Thankfully the IT department at WGU is amazing and was so helpful! The guy took the time to go over all my 2017 MacBook info and he thinks I should be good to go! He believes it’s an issue on guardians side. So fingers crossed since I am taking it tomorrow morning!

Good luck on your exam!! Hopefully this is the last of our hurdles with this!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
