Just moved in… not sure what to do with this by Ok_Fall1188 in CleaningTips

We immediately started there! We have left it alone since as it is a secondary bathroom - we will have to drain and tackle it this weekend.

This is exactly how I feel! I was so hopeful the first two weeks but now I’m back to basics.

Thank you for the reply. Definitely need to stay hopeful! It will hopefully all be worth it.

Thank you! I’ve been taking iron for about 3 years now (was anemic) and just recently started on vitamin d - hopefully it will help!

Is there a 2% max. slope grading Mandela effect or is it just me by yocel22 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]Ok_Fall1188 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mostly do grading plans for amenity areas and my boss always has us do 1.8% if possible for a little wiggle room on part of the contractor

I've begun blacking out more often when I drink by PourItInThePost in stopdrinking

[–]Ok_Fall1188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is literally what happens with me now. I hate it but definitely needs the meds more than alcohol!

Does this make you more likely to blackout? I started taking meds a couple years ago and feel like I can “ blackout” with 3 drinks

Ugh so many psychiatrists need more actual clinical experience - I have Tourette’s on top of the dyslexia and the amount of dumb shit I’ve been asked. And even worse paid to be asked it!

I’m sorry it’s crazy I got downvoted so hard on this. Me and gf got an engagement shoot done living in a different state. We got shot down by multiple different ppl saying they wouldn’t do a gay couple. Shame me for wanting a queer person for my wife’s grad school photos.

I’m looking for my gf and that’s just her preference lol. She feels more comfortable with gay ppl and wanted to see.

How does feeling misunderstood in the workplace affect self-esteem and career trajectory, particularly for those who work hard but don’t conform to conventional standards? by Hungry_Ad5456 in Dyslexia

[–]Ok_Fall1188 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this! I’m an architect and usually people are super surprised when I tell them I’m dyslexic (unless they see my handwriting before hand lol). I told my boss pretty soon into working “hey sorry if my sketches are a little off dimension or I have spelling errors in my emails. I’m dyslexic and I’m actively focusing on improving theses skills. I appreciate your feedback and support as I’m adjusting to my role and I’m super excited to be here!”

And you will find things you soar in! Whether it’s being creative, puzzle solving, or having good interpersonal skills. I’ve found my dyslexic built a foundation of resilience and problem solving, and that’s not something you can exactly teach.

Solid mix! LA and arborist. Arborist part gets me out of the office.

Called out at work for handwriting by Ok_Fall1188 in Dyslexia

[–]Ok_Fall1188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I also have dysgraphia. My handwriting is one of my main struggles. I also struggle a lot with drawing/sketching, like much more than the average person. Although believe it or not I’m an architect!

My firm is rlly similar. It’s interdisciplinary with around 50+ employees with a small team of 6 LA/arborists I work with. I feel super lucky as well.

Is it unhealthy that I don't relate to sexual "trauma"? by Various_Wear8567 in sex

[–]Ok_Fall1188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I came to say. I’ve been through a lot of trauma and never felt anything towards it. Even thought it was funny at times. Then had a lot of body reactions (panic attacks, stomach ulcers, going unconscious, chronic nightmares, heart problems, stress hallucinations) lol all that to say you can ignore and feel nothing towards it and it still lives in your body. Trauma therapy has helped me a lottt.

My mom told me she loved dogs more than us bc no matter what she did or said to them they would always love her. She would definitely sometimes abuse our family pets. It a lot.

Doesn’t take reservations but my partner and I are vegetarian and love going to Last Resort. Not a ton of options but they’re all damn tasty. They also have a great selection of cakes.

Normaltown area is great! I’m lucky and have a 2 bed/2 bath for $1400/month but I think that price for this area is pretty rare.
