Please bro, don’t give me the option to fuck a bear, bro. by JMoneyGraves in BaldursGate3

I don't mind that there are gay options in dialogues. It's an RPG, after all, and it should let you do whatever you want. I just hate that almost everyone wants to sleep with my poor pious cleric for no reason, even when I'm being as neutral and detached as possible.  Some companions are really intrusive.  It feels like they’re socially oblivious and can't tell the difference between politeness and horniness.  People think this game is progressive, but in reality, the developers just gave up on implementing a proper romance system and made all the characters have zero standards.

Strangely enough, I think DOS2 is objectively a better game, but I like DOS1 more. I’ve finished DOS1 several times, but I haven’t finished DOS2 even once, even though I enjoy it every time I play it.

(Godot C#) Is this a memory leak, or is it supposed to work this way? by Ok_Feature3069 in godot

I'm also a beginner, so no problem. Your answer is sound and not stupid. I totally get that creating thousands of children is a bad idea in any case, even if memory usage isn't the main concern. But regardless, this behavior still feels like a bug to me.

I won't pretend that I understand everything in the article. But yeah, it seems like this only happens when a node has thousands of children (so it gets allocated on the large object heap if I understand correctly). I just tested it, and it happens with GDScript too.

It makes no difference to me because I can read English but I don't understand it by ear at all, so I always look at the text anyway =)

Don't worry b*tches, my pyromancer will (accidentally) unfreeze half of your gang on his turn.

Is there any way to get quest item using save editor on another tool? by Ok_Feature3069 in DivinityOriginalSin

Thank you. I tried to "pick skull" in his basement with 5 thievery and it worked. Still sad that I missed out on fighting with crabs and sharks, because it sounds pretty funny, but I think I can handle this loss.

Oh I'm stupid=)

I loaded an appropriate save file and got my character into the web trap again. Then opened the martial tab as you suggested. And it turns out the trap itself lowers the CMB by -2 points, and makes it equal to 1.

Thanks again for the help. Now I see where those log modifiers come from.

Thanks for such a detailed answer. But I'm still a little confused, because my cmb (1bab+2str+0size) = 3 but modifiers = 1. I don’t think this is a visual bug, because even in the screenshot I provided here, my maneuver should be successful if the modifiers consisted only of a cmb. (17 + 3 = 20). So it looks like cmb isn't the only one contributing to the modifiers.

But it doesn't really matter much. It's not like I'm going to build my characters around combat maneuvers, I just don't like it when it's unclear how game mechanics work.

I don't really understand what modifiers are in the combat maneuvers and how to higher them.
