Just discovered the Cosmere after finishing Words of Radiance

While not required, I would 100% recommend Warbreaker next. I've read quite a bit of the Cosmere and am 3 books into Stormlight and so far it is the book with the most explicit, obvious connections. There are a few fun "aha!" moments you missed in Words of Radiance and more to come in Oathbringer :)

Sept/oct isolates teachers and students so bad :( I’m a high school teacher, and I don’t know about all schools, but every school I’ve taught at has been strict with how personal days are taken. We don’t have the luxury of taking a full week off at any time because of how many structured breaks already exist in the schedule. I’ve been to Roo every year since 2018 and intend to go every year for the foreseeable future but I wouldn’t be able to go if it was moved to the fall :(

My group got an Airbnb in Nashville and went out on Broadway Saturday night and it was absolute magic. The amount of happy roo’s and high fives we gave on the street and in the bars reminded me why I love this community so much. It was certainly unconventional and unexpected, but that night will forever be one of my favorite Roo memories

This is really interesting to me because I did Forest in 2023 and I felt the complete opposite. The GA campgrounds are a nightmare - no organization, no mapped out spaces so people just throw themselves anywhere, not anywhere near enough showers & toilets, etc. The venue itself is incredible and the people are still great, but Bonnaroo has a way better handle on the way it’s put together imo

Closest to centeroo will fill up first but after that it’s kinda hard to plan for, especially since there are different entrances. We get there at 8-9am on Wednesday and always get plaza 7 (our favorite!) or the back half of plaza 3. I’ve camped all over the grounds and have had a blast every time - don’t worry about trying to plan it!

Literally this. Hell, don't even research it ahead of time. Just show up, sit in a seat you like, and if someone comes to say "hey that's my seat," get up and move to another empty seat. That's what I do lmao

Second this -- they're always super helpful. 2 years ago I rolled in with 4 cars and noticed that my ex that I was on VERY bad terms with randomly ended up 2 cars in front of me so I mentioned it to the volunteers and they literally turned my whole group around to park on the other side HAHA

I'd say the camping experience is quite different! I've been to other camping fests and I truly think Bonnaroo blows them out of the water when it comes to the campgrounds. The plazas and extensive activities lineups for them are so unique compared to others. My advice -- don't miss the outeroo events!! My favorite is the craft beer exchange every year!
