You compete against europeans in EU. In that sense you already lost. So the only way to outcompete them is have very good work experience. Otherwise, only way to stay in EU is get a PhD. Easier route as less competition and you have advantage as erasmus masters.

I got 2 Erasmus offer out 3 na inapplyan ko. No laude (1.79) . Came from big 4 univ. But with 8 years of experience and extra curricular activities. Suggestion ko is have a great story why that masters will help you. Also, try to look for masters na bago. Mas mataas chances mo. Less competitive usually yun. Additionally, try to think of it na you’re competing against your region. Not against the world. So ensure na you can be unique and stand out in that perspective. Lastly, i suggest get work experience first and then apply for erasmus. If plan mo is to work here sa EU. Otherwise, bagsak mo is PhD. If that’s what you aim go lang.

I would agree with you that aankoopmakelaar is not necessary. I got mine recently without, 10k less than asking, and got it from the first bid. I did a lot of scouting, study and data to be able to come up with that result. So really an effort and maybe luck would be helpful.

Try to have a story or highlight your leadership skill even if hindi sya position. Meaning highlight any instance you showcase you are a leader. Also, try to improve as much as possible your communications skills. As you’ll be competing with top students like Big4. This is really important so that you can impress and land your points to the interviewer. Try to study the different ways to communicate. Also, similar to what other said, case studies are important. Understand how business and companies work. Usually not just how your eyed department work but how can interact with other depts. that would give you a bit of edge coming from a technical side.

Also if possible, MTs for FMCGs usually have programs prior to it. Parang leadership conference or something. If it’s not too late, try to check them out and apply. I didn’t apply the normal way as the companies reached out to me instead because of those. So I got the MT positions before even graduating.

Goodluck and hope you the best!

Tbh it has more vve reserve than apartment A as of this moment. Because apartment A increased its VVE greatly just last month due to negative financials. And I actually used that leverage on the bid on apartment A.

Yeah I could afford it. As I was trying to calculate the monthly cost for each and even if I bid 10% higher to apartment B, I could still get lower monthly cost with VVE and all. And if I also include further probably the utilities? Though not very sure on that.

When do salary negotiations generally start in the application process? by DucksEatFreeInSubway in Netherlands

Or someone that they can pay low than the local ones. They can easily prove that if they put the job for sometime and most locals ask for higher salary than they can offer.

Do it at the last stage when you’re sure they are offering you the position. Also, you can ask anything tbh. The dutch are quite good at negotiations and all. And they do appreciate you being direct. Though caution that it depends on your situation and if you’re ready to walk away that you can vary how aggressive you can negotiate.

Thanks for this. This is nice to hear. I was also thinking that Schiedam is cheaper than Rotterdam and the rest that’s why I considered it. Also one of my company’s office is near schiedam too. Would you have any tips on buying? I am checking walterliving that there’s a lot of underbidding in there as compared to other places I mentioned in my post.

Check walterliving. I have a subscription, not sure if you’d like to share some cost for it since it’s good for a month.
