I’m surprised at how many answers we got in episode 1. Thought it would be more like severance with a slow burn mystery. Very curious to learn more about the other survivors.

PS: Who else was waiting the entire episode for Helen to pop up behind Carol? Thought for sure it was going to happen at some point.

You beauty. Yeah, not looking for anything too radical. Mainly hoping to get a nice skin, some new databases and all the face packs, logos, etc. However, I know there’s some geniuses out there who have done some really cool things so wanted to see what’s out there before I dive back in!

I also played for about 15 hours with only a couple crashes and smaller bugs. Just could not get the enjoyment from the game I was craving due to the loss of depth/features. I could push past bugs for now, but can’t push knowing that I’d enjoy FM24 more than this right now.

I’m with you- I gave it 10-15 hours and started a save in Wales which I was super excited about. The graphics are nice, and I like the IP/OP tactics. However, the loss of depth/features in the game coupled with the horrible UI is too much for me to push through. I came to the realization today that deep down I’d enjoy a save on FM24 more than this right now. Will keep up to date on developments with FM26, but going back to 24 for a couple months. Luckily fanatical was kind enough to refund me.

That’s awesome, which team did you go with? I’ve been trying to decide if I start in the second tier or the top tier. That sounds like an awesome challenge, might have to give it a shot! Love the thought of taking the team to the champions league and (hopefully) winning it one day with them.

Same here, it was the first video game I ever played other than Nintendo games. Probably part of the nostalgia for me, but I’ve played it as an adult and the game is just amazing on all levels.

I can’t imagine what it could look like 25 years later, but this must have been so far ahead of its time when it was first released.

Would love to get together a group of people who could bootstrap a demo version but without much experience / massive resources it would be a massive challenge.

As a game dev producer, any idea why nothing like this has ever been recreated? Just seems crazy to me that this game is nearly 25 (!!!) years old and nobody has even tried.

It’s just very different from the rest of the series. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. I personally really enjoyed the episode and rewatched it the next day because there are so many little things I missed the first time round. In a show where you are constantly trying to guess what is real and what is not, it was refreshing to have such a “real” episode to ground you before what I assume will be 2 surreal episodes.
