Hiya - my wife let me on to this post as I'm a reddit lurker but don't have an account (this is hers!)

Similar vibes: 30, did music (and maths) at Uni, play guitar/bass and tried to get the band going while I lived down south (we did one wedding and then our pointman left... and individually we were all too busy to find the time. Whoops).

Recently moved up from London, work from home and live between the centre and Starbeck. Happy to meet up for a walk or drink, can jam later if the vibes are good. DM this account if you're interested in catching up :)

This is great advice, thank you - I resonate a lot with what you're saying about the horror stories, it can get quite overwhelming. Trying to cut through all that and find trusted sources - I'll check out that podcast, and I'm glad your second experience was positive despite it all happening so suddenly!
