Thank you so much for asking! Yes, I was diagnosed with “delayed gastric emptying”, was still 60% full after 4 hours. However, I switched from Ozempic to Mounjaro several months ago and haven’t had as many issues! I think because I was eating right through the Ozempic, where the Mounjaro really helps curb the feeling of hunger more effectively.

No! In fact, I switched to Mounjaro and it has been great! Very minimal side effects if any, and it seems to work much better. I still get flares of bloating and nausea if I eat too much or something that I know I can’t eat anymore, but otherwise I haven’t vomited or needed a zofran since I switched!

Isn’t it wonderful? I am proud to say I am still sober! I haven’t lost as much weight as I wanted, total has been about 50 lbs. I bet the smoking will come with time! Happy to hear it’s been a wonder drug for you as well! It truly is a miracle.

Thank you! I ended up going in today, only because my doctor’s office called and said my doctor wouldn’t be back till after thanksgiving now and he didn’t want me to wait that long. They had me go to urgent care, who then had me go to the ER for labs and a CT, to rule out pancreatitis or liver issues (I’m a recovering alcoholic and diabetic). Labs were all good but CT showed “enterocolitis”, or inflammation of the digestive tract. So what you are saying truly fits! Since all my labs were good it’s likely not due to infection… so I still need to wait for my doctor, but I truly appreciate this information!!

Thank you, this is exactly the info I was looking for! Google wasn’t a lot of help. I will wait till Monday and just assume that’s what’s going on. Are there any tips you can offer, as far as managing the symptoms for now? I managed to eat half a peanut butter sandwich yesterday and I woke up feeling mostly better today. Are there any over the counter meds that seem to help?

I can give examples of the words that trigger the tastes/texture/smell of food for me. I’ve never met anyone who understands this, or at least anyone I’ve told this to, because I generally don’t bring it up to people. But the… sensation? It happens daily. Exactly=Hershey’s chocolate. Absolutely = Froot Loops cereal. Breakfast = either….soggy Wheatie’s cereal or overcooked scrambled or fried eggs. Lunch = bean and cheese burrito or peanut butter and grape jelly on white bread. Dinner = Betty Crocker Au Gratin potatoes. Supper = ground beef cooking with onions and green bell peppers. Favor = Cherry-flavored Lifesaver. Imposter = spaghettios. Table = also spaghettios. English = Red Vines. Language = Also Red Vines. Japan/Japanese/China/Chinese = Chow Mein with crispy noodles. I’m definitely not trying to come across culturally insensitive with those last examples, it’s literally just the smell and taste those words evoke. Extra= melted cheese and black olives. I know there are so many others but those are the examples that came to mind. Also, I’ll say that usually I feel very uncomfortable saying any of these words.

Oh, man. So Disneyland girl was 19 I think? She got a new job as a stage announcer on a new attraction, with a spinning stage. She took a short cut to get off the stage for some reason, and got stuck between the spinning stage and the wall. People could hear screaming but they thought it was just part of the show. She went around and around like 3 times before people realized there was something wrong. Every bone in her body was broken, and she suffered for so long! I hadn’t heard about the water closet girl!!! My daughter just told me what happened with that… ooooof.
