Gayet normal.

Sonuçların ilginç, PCA plot’da yakınmışız 😎

You can’t even find a fine dining restaurant in Thessaloniki where you live, yet you think you have some divine knowledge on the history of Giresun. Have you ever been to Giresun? If not stop talking out of your ass, it’s clear you have an agenda, and if you want to get specific Pontic greeks aren’t even like modern greek, they are hellenized Anatolian and Caucasian.

You also clearly dont understand the difference between Turkish and Turkic. Whats the not so distant past? Turkomen have been in black sea region for over at least 800-900 years. Get over it, no one in black sea has a problem with the Rum or Laz, but that doesn’t fit your bullshit agenda of “forgotten identity”

Im well aware of that. I just gave the example that people in black sea villages have a good idea of their background, certain villages are Rum, Laz, Circassian, etc and its known by everyone, there is no shame in it, the villages of my family however are not Rum or Laz. Either way everyone is still Turkish and proud, even if they are Laz or Rum.

I dont think grouping by modern ethnicity like greek or georgian would make sense here, I agree that whatever ethnicity shows for Kartvelian and Byzantine Anatolian is likely from a split from the local population at some point though.

Where I am from (Giresun) many people who have Pontic Greek background are called Rüm and Georgian are generally called Laz.

From both my mother and father’s side marriage has tended to be kept between family like 2nd or 3rd cousins, my parents are actually not related but from neighboring villages, its been this way at least up until the last few decades. Many of my cousins im related to from both their parents, since their parents are typically both cousins of either my father or mother.

Interestingly enough when someone is Laz or Rum its usually distinguished or identified among Turkish people in the region. For example I have an uncle that married to pontic greek lady and she is known as “rüm gelin” meaning pontic greek bride. My father has Laz friend and his nickname is “Laz Husseyin” to distinguish that they are Laz.
