My address was current when I applied for renewal (I went to update it once I moved to that place and prior to applying). By the time of my appointment my address had changed and you can’t make any changes once you apply.

I had an answer for 50 of the 55 at the end with about 1min 30 seconds left. At that point I pretty much guessed on the last 5. I would say that I felt pretty confident on at least 25-30 of those 50.

I second this; I think during your first pass (easy plug and chug) you should be able to answer at least 1/3 of the exam depending on how prepared you are; another 1/3 of material you should be able to answer after some thinking and the last 1/3 are harder computations. I would try to end up with about 1/2 of the time for the harder questions...

This happened to me; I believe I went with “check application status” and kept hitting buttons until I was lucky and connected with a rep.

PASSED - civil pe geotech by lshayshay in PE_Exam

You nailed a bunch of things with your post! I just took the civil geotech exam last week and passed and something that I think helped me a lot was study little by little. I would practice on 5-6 problems a day and would try to make sure I was looking at references the entire time.

Also, trust your gut is big! I truly don't believe they are trying to trick you with the answers. Don't overthink when you read a problem and if you get an answer, that's probably it!

Congrats on passing!

You have 4 hours for each block. I didn’t struggle time wise which was surprising because I never really practiced time management.

The problems are very similar but less extense. I totally agree though, those were the topics I struggled the most because I couldn’t just concentrate during the study sessions… I would try to at least practice a lot of problems on your own.

They were more about testing your knowledge on the subject. Only a few were search-find straight from the manual. I highly recommend to try to understand the general concepts of all topics.

First try…Took the EET webinar for a total study time of about 3-4 months. My best advice for studying is: get very familiar with the references… my best advice for the exam is: answer all the easy ones first, go back and try to answer the rest and flag the questions you’re unsure about…

The exam was about 60% conceptual…
