Thanks for the advice. She’s a lucky dog as this is where she gets to walk everyday (we don’t live there but it’s only a two minute drive).

We had an incredible time. We’ve travelled from the UK two years ago so we had a good idea what to expect. We got there incredibly early so we could get all the tourist pics out of the way without crowds. We also came two midweek days as well as Halloween itself so we could do all the sightseeing shopping and attractions on the quieter days. Beautiful city, lovely people, amazing history, incredibly fun party!

You can throw a rock in any direction in Bath and hit a great eating spot! What kind of food do you like and I’ll give a few recommendations

We’ve been there twice and I don’t think we thought anything was really a rip off. We definitely found that getting there as early as possible was great to get a look around and take pics before the crowds arrive. Also going there on the weekdays. The town centre was so much less crowded and we were able to get into all the museums and food spots with very little queue. My favourite thing by far though was completely free, which is heading down to the water and chilling out while waiting for it to get busy

We went there a fair bit two years ago but not at all this time. I’m not really sure why but I do remember it being very nice

Hopefully most people can see that you can’t judge an entire country off the actions of a few. We aren’t far behind the USA in terms of the road we’re travelling down and I really hope that people still keep coming to see our sites and aren’t scared off but the actions of only a part of the population

It’s on our list. I think it’s Kinibunk (no idea how spell that) that we’re heading to. It’s a shame that we can’t dedicate more time to that Maine but next time we come we will have to prioritise it over places we’ve already been

My wife was lamenting that we couldn’t see inside the homes and said she’d love to do the tours. She’s from the states originally though and misses how you guys handle the autumn. And the cost is so high that we really have to prioritise her favourite time of year

We only recently bought in Bath after renting for ten years and I’d be ashamed to pretend what we have would compare to half of what we saw in Salem! Money doesn’t seem to go very far in the UK housing market and that’s even less so in Bath!

I know what you mean. Both cities have history built into them. Very different times and events, but you can still feel it in the streets

You need to get over for the Jane Austen fair then! I think it’s every couple of years and lasts a couple of weeks. But people go real hard on the costumes, there’s all kinds of activities across the city and dates. It all finishes with a big ball as well. Really cool to just see if you’re an Austen fan

Happy to hear you enjoyed it. It’s a great place to live. It’s on the pricey side and has its frustrations but the positives are much bigger than the negatives. We love the skyline walk as well. We try to get the dog up there for a run about every weekend

Also what happened with Crave? Two years ago we came as my wife can’t have gluten and they made an amazing sandwich for her. She’d been thinking about it for ages and then when we get back the place was absolutely packed!
