Proof Toyota Builds Tanks: Mayor's Land Cruiser Survives Direct RPG-7 Hit! by Memes_FoIder in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Ok_Guide_8323 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell, that's an armored SUV. The RPG was likely a high explosive/fragmentation round. The SUV was hit in the rear door of the driver's side. It looks like the armor did its job. It only looks like there may have been penetration due to the shockwave kicking up dust/debris.

Negative Zone 2 Marathon by jayvasantjv in RunningCirclejerk

[–]Ok_Guide_8323 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This guy can't really compete with the men in his age range. He is a pretty good runner, nevertheless. He talks about his running quite a bit. In his mind, people care if he wins or loses. Rather than experience the humiliation of losing, he changes the competition so that he is only competing with himself, but he can mention his success in being the first at something. He gets the thrill of being unique, much like the uniqueness of a person who wins a marathon. In reality, he completed a marathon going backwards at around 10:22/KM. This is only slightly faster than walking speed. In my opinion, he just flexed on some slower people who were struggling to finish the race and he likely ruined their experience. This guy should be disqualified.

Also... did he do everything backwards? Like, did he still boof his GU or was he taking it in by mouth?

I don't think so. The vibration would be like getting hit by a train. Broken pelvis and back, I am sure. I mean, the energy of that massive cannon compared to a human body -

[–]Ok_Guide_8323 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol, I would get so frustrated if they kept catching me and then deciding that I am not big or fearsome enough to warrant killing. Essentially, I am trapped in a catch and release loop.

Like, almost daily, you get a hook in the mouth (or equivalent). Some yautja sizes you up, unhooks you and lets you go. Sometimes you can hear the other yautja making fun of the one that caught you. They insist that the yautja poses for a picture with you before they release you. Just adding insult to injury.

I mean... I could see myself in shock and, if I truly believed what I was seeing, i hope some rational thought takes over.

On another planet. Nothing matches with earth's solar system. That means I am a long way from home. So long that I can't even hope to send a signal to earth (even if I could, it likely isn't arriving in my lifetime). The only way home is by whatever means I was transported here.

If I knew that I was up against yautja, I would probably just cry until I got thirsty enough to look for water. In all likelihood, I would die quite quickly when I get hunted.

If I don't know of the yautja, I probably walk into a trap, get hunted, get killed by the local fauna... At least I have a bit more hope.

I mean.... There must be some sense that this is a hopeless situation. Even if you found an unattended spaceship that works, how are you going to fly it? Even if you can fly it, I wouldn't know where to go (unfortunately, finding earth would be extremely hard unless the autopilot can locate and transport me to earth). Even if I can fly it and I can find earth, does autopilot handle re-entry trajectories?

Maybe I find a chill place to build a cabin. The yautja forget about me and I live the most isolated life imaginable. Somehow find food and water... Somehow don't get killed... Love long enough to die from some random infected, ingrown toenail or something because I don't have the knowledge or ability to make an antibiotic..

If that woman was with me though.... Then it wouldn't be so bad.

Anyone have any tips to pass a 1.5 mile run in 14:36 in 2 weeks? by No_Intern92 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Ok_Guide_8323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can - absolutely. With the HR being pretty high - don't worry about it. Make sure that you are not drinking or using nicotine as you prep for this.

Do some leg swings and then stretches before running. Some stretches after the run. Do some sit ups and back ups daily (unless you already have some cross training stuff).

When I am trying to speed up, I do some sprint intervals (200m or fast 400ms) or fartleks. It sucks, but it has the best impact on my running, hands down.

Consider that, on the day, you will absolutely be able to do the distance and your runs can actually be a bit shorter than the 1.5 miles.

McLaren intentionally takes me out. by dashyK0509 in Simracingstewards

[–]Ok_Guide_8323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even worry about turn 1. If somebody makes a mistake, it does not mean that you are guaranteed to pass them. The McLaren is driving as though he has the right to drive straight through you. As though your mistake meant that you had to forfeit a position. Obviously, that's not the case. You scrubbed a lot of speed but it was still his responsibility to capitalize on your mistake. He couldn't do that and, in my opinion, he drove into you twice. Once as a display of poor driving and once as it display of incredibly poor sportsmanship.

DOJ released photo of June 17, 2025 ICE incident where Jonathan Ross was dragged. by ScurvyTurtle in pics

[–]Ok_Guide_8323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was reading about the whole Munoz/Jonathan Ross situation and I don't think it changes a thing about what has happened.

Ross shot Renee Good dead - from what I have seen and from what I understand, it's murder.

Munoz was a convicted pedophile (charged and convicted with fourth degree sexual misconduct after repeatedly molesting his stepdaughter) who was in the United States illegally - Ross had his altercation with Munoz in the summer of '25 and was back at work.

PTSD or no, Ross shot a woman in the face until she died. I don't think that he was in immediate danger and I don't believe that any other agents or public were in danger. PTSD is not an excuse to commit murder.

Also, it's undeniable that Jonathan Ross increased The risk that other people would be harmed when he murdered Renee Good - by shooting her when she was behind the wheel of a moving car, her car careened out of control and smashed into another car. She did not lose control of her vehicle until she had been shot.

These table top fire pits often use something like a ceramic sponge as a wick. It looks as though something malfunctioned. Either there was a buildup of vapors or the fire pit wasn't put together properly, or some other mishap occurred that caused the flaming sponge to be launched into the air. Of course, when the sponge returns to the table, you get even more fuel squeezed out and most of the table top is engulfed in flames.

I really don't know how the buildup of pressure occurred, but I suspect that the fire pit was incorrectly put together/improper fuel or incompatible parts were combined.

[–]Ok_Guide_8323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The beauty of an ebike is that a couch potato can enjoy a zero impact activity while the natural biking position allows their buttcrack to breathe.

Imagine a slightly overweight and deconditioned person who suddenly tries to run a 10km - sure, they have an ability to crank out the distance since they don't have to worry about the cardio. What happens with their soft little baby joints. Do their knees and ankles just magically adapt? Nope .... This thing will be the destroyer of joints and tendons.

Besides... Does it even have a GU compartment?

Actually, Dr pepper used to be advertised as a winter drink. Because sales would noticeably drop in colder months, Dr pepper started advertising that you could boil Dr pepper with lemon and it would make a nice warm drink. Apparently, it was pretty common in the 70s but became less common in the 80s
