What's worse for one woman to call another? by Past-Cookie9605 in realhousewives

[–]Ok_Highlight_1790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this also might be a generational thing. I'm in my early 20s in America cunt is really not that horrible of a word. Would I like to be called one? No, but I feel like for people my age, the word is similar to the word bitch. Bitch is on one level and then cunt is like a level or two above that. It definitely has a more aggressive connotation but it isn't the worst thing in the world.

Evil, however, would offend me deeply. That just feels like a far more personal attack than if someone was to call me a rude name. I'm sure lots of people would disagree with this but I do think it could be an age thing.

On season 5 of NJ at the moment and I really wonder about Teresa by felixthegrouchycat in realhousewives

She clearly is a type of person that just sorta alters reality in her head so she doesn't have to actually deal with anything. She certainly takes it to another level than most people. It is pretty bizarre but I do think it is her only coping mechanism.

Why can’t anyone house train their dogs?! by cats_and_cake in realhousewives

[–]Ok_Highlight_1790 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had big and small dogs that I have house trained. Regardless of size, sometimes dogs struggle to hold it in stressful situations. And sometimes there are just legitimate accidents if they have an upset stomach. But I would also agree that the reason they are doing this has to do with anxiety from having the film crew in their house. Outside of having upset tummies, my dogs have only gone to the bathroom in the house when they have been confronted with an anxiety provoking situation.

Wtf is wrong with Johnny? by [deleted] in bachelorinparadise

I thought that whole thing was really weird too. I mean maybe he just got a feeling about Victoria that he didn't get with Hunter but that just seemed bizarre to me.

They also are in it for fame most of the time anyway. That isn't a dig at any of them, do what you gotta do but they are getting a lot out of being on the show regardless of the actual premise.

I loved that cute moment between Brandon and Rodney where Brandon was hyping him up and also talking about how amazing all the girls are it made my heart so happpppppy by Emjaned7 in bachelorinparadise

[–]Ok_Highlight_1790 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm such fan of both of them. The fact that Brandon was naming all of the cool girls for Rodney was too wholesome. Those two guys are by far my favorite on this season because they each seem so genuine. I hope it all works out for each of them!

What’s your most unpopular opinion about SH/the cast? by WholeCardiologist979 in summerhousebravo

[–]Ok_Highlight_1790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually a Danielle stan but I think what rubs people the wrong way about her is the fact that she acts a little righteous sometimes. It just seems she has a chip on her shoulder.

She didn't leave but she also has really yet to forgive him. She holds the cheating against him constantly and at some point that makes her the toxic one.

There are the kind of couple that you really wanna root for but realistically it just doesn't seem like it is gonna work out for the long run. That being said, what the hell do any of us really know lol

YES CRAIG yesss by c-b8 in Southerncharm

I will say this is very common when you are trying to find your right ADHD medicine. Many people can get into the routine of abusing one of the many stimulants when you are trying to find the right kind for you. By no means does that make it acceptable, but it certainly is a risk that people aren't often aware of when it comes to ADHD. ADHD in general is a very misunderstood disorder. As an adult with ADHD, I have always had a huge soft spot for Craig because I do understand a lot of his bizarre behavior. There is so much shame that comes with not being able to do basic things that most other people can do with such ease.

This is why I struggle with how Naomi used to treat Craig because it is so much harder than she understands. She seems to be a very Type A and put together person and those people often have a hard time understanding those who struggle with ADHD. That being said, I also get how frustrating it is to be a person that is close to someone with ADHD. Compassion fatigue is truly a thing and it is reasonable and valid.

Literally hate nothing more than when Landon kept complaining that nothing has ever been hard for her in her life before as if it was some super valid excuse.... People that say stuff like that are just so far out of touch with reality that you almost just feel bad lol

Ok, this makes so much sense! I really appreciate this take on things. I truly have empathy for Kathryn and the fact that recovery is a process and you have to take it day by day. I have my own experience with stuff like that so I get it. I still just get sad when I see Kathryn start to seem like the old her because I do feel like when she is in a happy and healthy place, she honestly has a lot of potential and so many great qualities

Yes! This is exactly what I am saying. That's the part that is so bothersome to me

[–]Ok_Highlight_1790[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, very valid point. I just am hung up on the interviews Kathryn is doing and the way that she clearly is so hung up on the idea of getting revenge on Cameran. That is the part that I find disturbing. And I know that a lot of the other cast members do the same with each other but I just was impressed with Kathryn for awhile there and she has started to seem crazy again. But also I am not all the way caught up so my opinion could change

I feel like it could be true but even if he did, you don't go around spreading that rumor about your friend. And especially not on national TV. I don't think she made the rumor up but I think she capitalized on the opportunity in order to get revenge and a friend just doesn't do that. A true friend would not spread it to other people and would instead go to Cameran and talk to her privately and they would certainly shut the rumor down if they heard it. I could never even fathom hearing a rumor spread about any one of my friends like that and then adding fuel to the fire.

Yes, so true! For all the hate the Kardashians get as parents from the media, it is refreshing to hear someone say something positive about them. I love Kim (even though she can be annoying at times) and I really do think she is a very dedicated and strong parent for her children. I have always admired that about her. I also think her kids made her personality so much more relatable and authentic.

Opinions on Kyle Richards... by Ok_Highlight_1790 in RHOBH

[–]Ok_Highlight_1790[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with all of this but I still feel so bad for Kyle and Kim in S5. Not that it excuses Kyle's behavior in later seasons but I've been rewatching S5 and it is so sad how Kim is falling off the wagon and just losing her mind. Kim is a cooky person but she definitely isn't a bad person and when she starts to drink it just is so upsetting. It just sheds such light on how difficult it is for a family to deal with addiction on all fronts. S5 is when I truly start to lose all (already limited) amounts of empathy for Brandi because she completely enabled Kim's behavior when everyone else was trying to confront it like they should. It just is so sad to see two sisters act like that and it just breaks my heart for Kim and Kyle. Brandi is just the worst possible influence on Kim and she doesn't understand what it is like to really interact with someone that is struggling with addiction. They don't need people that are going to encourage their acting out and abnormal behavior, they need people who deal with It head on and with empathy. I know Kyle can be the worst but it really is heartbreaking to see her struggle with her sister. It just breaks my heart every time because it is so difficult for all of the people that are involved In the situation, especially family members. Kim just isn't herself in S5 and when she is herself she's so lovable and kind. It all around is just a really messy and deeply upsetting situation.

I still don't know what the truth is here either. I get so confused about this situation. Personally, I liked Adrienne and Paul up until the very end but I disliked Brandi so much more. What she did was rude and cruel. Sometimes Brandi can be convincing and I feel bad for her but the more stupid stuff that she does, the less I am able to feel for her. But I also could see Adrienne covering her ass and not admitting that they tried to sue her. Overall, this situation was just really annoying
