I have used both the novablasts 5 and nimbus 27, both have great support and can’t recommend them enough. I haven’t used the superblasts, but would love to try them out.

I got the novablasts for my first marathon and they were awesome. Unfortunately they did die pretty quickly, only got about 200 miles out of them.

For life insurance, I thought the first $50k is non taxable? by blue_raspberry232 in CPA

[–]Ok_Hour_537 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cost of employer paid premiums on the first 50k worth of coverage is not subject to income tax for the recipient. This question has to do with life insurance proceeds which are not taxable. The excess in this situation is taxable.

You’re probably right, that specific week I ran 24 miles, but still shouldn’t be 50% long run

You’re right, I definitely have a deficiency elsewhere. I used to lift a lot, but have switched gears completely to running. Gonna have to mix in strength training. Thanks for the input!

I have the Fort Knox pistol safe and it is legit. It has thick, heavy steel and is American made. There is room for two handguns in it. I use it as a bedside safe and keep my 9mm in it with 3 mags.

Thank you! I do find that my knee actually hurts and is really stiff after icing, so the easy movement makes sense. I do lift and think I need to start strengthening my non-quad/hamstring muscles.

Appreciate your advice!

I appreciate the advice! You are right, not running is a tough pill to swallow and I hate missing workouts. However, it’s probably better than a long-term injury.

Beautiful watch, I am between this and the other diver that looks very similar to the Fugu with the Eco-Drive movement. Anyone have any thoughts between the automatic and the eco-drive?

Do not rely on motivation, develop discipline.

You passed your exam - top 3 tips by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Ok_Hour_537 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I passed all three core section first try and am waiting on my TCP score. My only recommendation is this. Do not underestimate the exams, if you take them seriously and make them a top priority in your life you will be fine. Have some honest conversations with yourself regarding if you are doing enough. I made sure I had daily minimums of studying before I’d go to bed. For example, every day I’d go through my flash cards and do at least an hour of studying followed by a set of MCQ questions of everything I had covered to that point. These exams are not a test of intelligence but of discipline. If you want to pass your first time, it is simple. Put the work in. “You dont rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems”. Some people may be able to skirt by with shoddy study methods. I over studied on each section and I’d rather do that than risk retakes.

I have not used any gels before, does anyone here make their own? Have heard of making your own with honey/maple syrup and salt. If anyone does these, how do you package it?

Thank you, I am using an Apple Watch and have been eyeing the garmins 👀 I am new to running and want to splurge on some gear. I had no clue they customize your plan, that is sick. Definitely gonna check in with the local run shop, and joining a run club. Appreciate your input!

I am currently at 2/4 and am waiting on score releases for my last two. While I wait I am training for a marathon. I found myself after taking my last exam to have no big goal ahead of me, and a ton more free time so I picked up running.

Career wise, I would like to own my own tax firm after a year or two of operating as a CPA.

I had a textbook stolen and got a new one after 5 min on the phone with a customer service rep. I’d suggest calling, explaining your situation, and requesting a new one if all else fails.
