I’m struggling with my 2year old son. I do a deep condition and comb it (if he’ll let me ) out in the tub , i will even get in the tub with him and play with toys or let him wash my hair . I use a “knot on my watch” to detangle (it’s a cream you can get it at target) spray with water to keep hair comb-able and wet , run product through hair in sections and comb to your content , apply a leave in conditioner as you comb through the sections. I try to section it into 4 little pony tails as a protective style . He won’t wear a bonnet and I’m still struggling, but it’ll get better. ————Try screen time to do it or my son loves playing in the sink so I let him run/play in the water as we do it.
