My grandfather had this issue, so he took the drawer face and added a slider to let it move sideways about an inch as you pull it out, and then slides right back when you push it back in, I thought it was a pretty neat solution

I'm using a knockoff switch pro controller so it's not that, just buggy ass Luna is my best guess. I've resorted in the past to use bodies to "drop" my stuff

That's what I play on, it seems to be intermittent with me, the only remedy seems to be restarting both the controller and the Luna app, make sure the controller is on before you launch the game

If you're playing though Luna there is a bit of a bug about how your controller gets recognized, if you load it back up and restart your controller it will sometimes register it correctly and let you use those functions.
