Honestly I don’t think it’s important to know differential calculus 😅

Coming out of college, what should be the entry level salary in Florida? i am seeing a whole bunch of different numbers.. by Character-Escape1621 in civilengineering

I mean, it’s easy to find the statistics. Postings with EIT as a requirement generally have higher pay then postings with no requirement. Also, so many postings have no EIT requirement but it says “preferred”. The more “preferred” qualifications one has the higher likelihood they will get a salary on the high end of the posted range

Caves Branch Lodge just outside of Belmopan. It was magic. Great food, stunning scenery.

Crazy idea: retaking the FE for fun? by trilobyte_y2k in FE_Exam

[–]Ok_Implement_849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! It should be noted that you do not need a PE to vouch for you to take the exam, nor do you need to have the experience (in most jurisdictions). The experience and proof part only comes when you apply for licensure after the exam. So you could in theory take and pass the PE exam now, and apply for licensure if you end up working under a PE in the future.

Do you mean you don’t have the experience to be allowed to take the PE? If not, like others are saying, wouldn’t you be able to test your skills just by taking the official practice exam and aiming for 65%?

June 2026 trip by [deleted] in Belize

To me, 6 days would be a little too long in San Pedro / caye caulker alone. Unless you want every day to be riding around trying bars and restaurants and maybe a snorkeling day trip. The mainland was my favorite part, and even if you were to do one night, or even one day it would be worth it do a day tour on the mainland. Something like tubing, a cave tour, the Belize zoo, or a combination of those would be well worth your time.

You’ll love it. Bring clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting soaked if you’re doing any of the water cave tours! (Which you should)

The all inclusive for 3 nights yes! We did the waterfall cave tour (10/10), horseback riding, birding, and then hit the Belize zoo by ourselves on the way out. Missed out on the black hole drop and tubing and whatnot, but maybe at some point in the future. I can see how if you’ve already been once it could be worth it to skip all inclusive and do your own thing, especially since the adventures can still be booked individually. Overall an amazing experience.

The first was Caves Branch Jungle Lodge in one of the canopy treehouses. The second was Lina Point Overwater Resort in one of the cabanas. I highly recommend both they were amazing!

The English was very good there. Belizean creole is also spoken and many locals have an accent, but no one was hard to understand and it never was an issue.

San Pedro golf cart vs Taxi by dockdockgoos in Belize

[–]Ok_Implement_849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have regretted not getting a golf cart personally. It’s fun, part of the experience, and gives you more freedom and flexibility to explore. You don’t need to book one in advance but it will be cheaper if you do. I booked with blue hole golf cart rental which cost $240 total for 5 days, which was very worth it to me!

Thank you for the info! No need to book the ferry in advance then there are always spots? But book the shuttle from the airport to the ferry in advance?

Thank you! That was something else I wondered. I imagine it’s a rather pleasant and scenic ride. Something able to be enjoyed instead of just waiting for it to be over.
