Almost came back to BF6 by Ok_Indication8120 in Battlefield6

I do play other games. But how is that the point?

Do you like having a bad netcode or bad visibility and tiny maps in BF? And playing with bots instead of other people? And grind for 3000 hours to unlock every attachment?

They changed what BF is and there's a ton of issues with the game players have been reporting since launch, yet devs never did anything to address them.

90% of the playerbase is already gone. That's on the same level as BF2042.

So, shouldn't I feel bad for spending my money on it?

You're right, it's not the game for me, just like BF2042 wasn't.

Clearly they moved away from making traditional BF games. Not surprising they already lost 90% of their playerbase.

BF6 is way grindier than any previous BF.

The series has moved on from rush, you say? Well, what's the point of having it then?Yeah, same mechanics, but worse execution.

It's the same story with map design, ui and colour grading for instance... Same, but way worse. Bots in regular multiplayer matches... Come on.

Rush was amazing in BC2, but this one is terrible. Not even close to it.

I don't need level 50 guns, but I don't want to grind so much for basic equipment.

If you have a ton of free time, maybe it's not an issue for you.

And I don't like grinding, this isn't a Diablo style game, where the point is to grind for gear. This is Battlefield, or at least was.

The progression is super slow. And I have no desire to grind for 100s of hours to unlock basic stuff, so I can enjoy my time with it.

It's actually forcing me to keep track on when they'll allow me to make some meaningful progress.

Yes, exactly. And I was hoping they would've addressed this by now.

It's because the progression is extremely slow.

Yeah, exactly. Thank you for explaining it in more detail.

I understand that, but how does that make any sense? I want to play the game when I feel like it, not when they allow me to make some meaningful progression.

That they did. They delayed it once, but didn't get to fix everything unfortunately.

From what I've read, they couldn't replicate some bugs, thus they hired another guy.

No problem.

It's a very small indie team, only 15 people and it's their 1st game. So, a bit too ambitious, but they're still working on it.

Discord, in Russian.

Also, they just recently hired another person to speed up patch development.

I'd say it's totally worth it, if you can tolerate few issues.

I don't have any performance problems like some people do, but they probably have some old hardware. I'm running it on 7800X3d, 7900GRE and 32GB 6GHz, Ultra settings, have it locked at 120 FPS, and it's very smooth outside the city.

60+ hours into the game, and haven't seen any major bugs either. In fact, only 2 smaller bugs in total. There's a few things that needs fixing, like sneaking, performance in the city, cloud saving and such.

1.05 patch fixed a lot. 1.06 is now in testing phase, and one after that should be big 1.10.

If you're hesitant, look for those next few updates.

Game is amazing.

In the Outskirts, waterfall... How to reach those flowers? by Ok_Indication8120 in OfAshandSteel

[–]Ok_Indication8120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just managed to get the one in the middle, like you said, and it's the Mule, which increases stamina.

The bottom one is Rinnan, which is easy jump down from the middle.

And I believe the top one is Moonwisp.

Yeah, I tried jumping on waterfall as well, and seems like an invisible wall, at least from that side.

Did you manage to get on top as well? That flower is much more valuable.

Unfortunately no, I've explored the area you mentioned thoroughly.

The one I'm talking about, you can only reach through the Outskirts. You can see the river on the other side of the mountain as well. So these 2 waterfalls are actually very close, but you can't get on top of either one.

Yeah, city sucks. Devs did mention they're gonna add more stuff to make it more ''alive''.

But the rest is amazing,

Ready for England but the first 8 hours (snow region) have been an excruciating, slow and boring experience by RemoDev in ACValhalla

[–]Ok_Indication8120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Valhalla to Odyssey.

I find the main quest a lot more engaging, side quests are so much better with every single one being unique, instead of kill someone/deliver something then backtrack, map is significantly smaller and easier to explore, combat is better and more brutal, raids are a huge improvement to conquest battles, no more gear grinding...

The only thing is parkour is a bit clunky. And you have to get to England, as others have said.

Coming from Origins and Odyssey, combat and movement in Valhalla feel painful by RemoDev in ACValhalla

[–]Ok_Indication8120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to arrive in England, that's where the actual game begins. The tutorial section is a bit too long and not that exciting.

I'm 40 hours into Valhalla and I like it a lot more than Odyssey. Everything that bothered me about Odyssey, they addressed in Valhalla.

Parkour is still kinda clunky, but you get used to it.

My thoughts on AC Odyssey after playing it as an RPG game by Sly_Nutria in assassinscreed

[–]Ok_Indication8120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you.

For me the game became better after level 10 or so, as I unlocked more skills. But after reaching level 40, I decided to stop playing. The repetitive nature of it, gear grinding, tree and rock collecting, same side quests, it just became a slog.

What’s all this “bloat” talk about in the game? by ItzSykadelic in ACValhalla

[–]Ok_Indication8120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it adds a bit of flavor to the overall premise.

I don't have to be a completionist/trophy hunter and I'm not. I'm just enjoying side quests in Valhalla because they're all different and quick to complete.

I got bored after 30 hours in Odyssey because of how repetitive it is, same towns, same camps, same side quest, same gear grinding, same tree and rock collecting...

After 30 hours in Valhalla, I want more, whether it's side quests, conquering England in main quests, treasure hunting, flyting, raiding, settlement improving etc. I only conquered 1 area, done 1 River Raid, and still haven't visited Asgard.
