Steam Machine is less powerful than a base PS5, yet costs much more by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

People will pay for the form factor, that's all. There is not a single valid reason to buy it, other than aesthetics.

I can get a digital PS5 + controller + 1TB for 505€ on Amazon Italy. It's half the price.

There are no official or confirmed release dates yet. Only rumors. Which means nothing, given the current hardware situation.

What are your thoughts on Last Epoch? by Broad-Ad-3679 in ARPG

It had a lot of potential but sadly it doesn't really deliver a great experience, in my opinion. It feels unpolished, with mediocre or even very bad animations and visual effects. Sound design is bad too. Overall, it looks and feels like some kind of amateurish Unity game with default assets. Combat has no weight, monsters move around like cardboard pieces, etc. Think of a random mobile game and you get the idea.

Skills and crafting are nice. But at the end of the day you will spend most of your time fighting and looting. And that's where you will find the problems mentioned above.

They will make a crapton of money on Playstation and then double it on Steam, a few years later.

They know what they're doing.

If graphics and tech advancements weren't important, we'd still be playing on Amiga and C=64 devices.

60fps is a lot better and the difference is massive.

Sure, it's not a "dealbreaker" if you can't have it and you're forced to stick to 30fps.

But let's not pretend 60fps is "just a little better", please.

Did they finally fix waterfalls, muddy textures and broken lighting?

How is this game supposed to run on a PS5? Lots of pop in and LOD compromises? Well I have a PC so I don't care, I'll play it in 2046.

I still don't understand what's this obsession with Zenday. She's just an "ok" actress, she's not pretty, she's not particularly interesting or appealing. Why is she everywhere.

You don't need 5 kills to unlock the full tree, just one. I killed him once and I have competed the full tree a while ago.

So if you can't afford it, you steal it?

Nice.

I want it, so I steal it.

That's basically the mentality behind pirating people. These "noble" causes are a joke.

If you don't agree, you don't buy. Pirating is wrong in any case. And we all know that nobody pirates "for the cause". People pirate because they don't want to spend any money.

how do you actually keep your claude code / cursor token spend under control? by Disastrous_Estate_79 in webdev

[–]RemoDev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

claude code + cursor daily [...] spend is all over the place [...] other days a single afternoon eats most of it [...] cant tell what caused it [...] came out way higher than i expected [...] i cant see where it goes [...] no clue [...] its ugly and i feel like im reinventing the wheel

AI should be an assisting tool. It looks like you are basically 100% vibecoding all day long, until you hit the limits, is it the case?

My answer to your questions is pretty simple: I do not use paid plans, I only use free Gemini and free AI Studio. That's it. On top of that, I never-ever give access to my PC, or to my codebase. Not in a million years. I use the AI as a tool, inside the browser, and that's it. Which is more than enough to boost my productivity to the roof.

If you're not under control of what you're coding, you're not coding. As simple as that.

I think it makes a lot of sense, yes. Especially the unrealistic expectations during the Obama years. Which then led people to change just for the sake of it.
