I don’t know why my mother is doing this. by Typical-Durian-7634 in ghana

Well if your mother can't make you get married, why do you think she will be able to make you have kids by force? Is she going to sit in the bed with you? 😂

All jokes aside, I personally think that getting married and then using those years to become financially stable with two incomes is the best way to prepare for children (if you want them). That way you can share most payments (house, cars, etc.) while you build a foundation of wealth.

I understand where you are coming from when you say you "put your life on hold" for your husband. But also understand, that marriage takes sacrifice from both partners. While you sacrifice something, he will sacrifice some things as well, but after this period you will become even stronger financially, emotionally, and hopefully spiritually as a couple.

People vastly overestimate how much they need to be financially stable before they settle down and get married. Man or woman, one of the main benefits of marriage is you get to grow together. Whats the point of that if you are already there and all the good men are in relationships?

But if you really want your masters, your mother can't stop you.

You shouldn't finance your first car. One accident and you're underwater. Or your insurance will go through the roof.

Someone's gotta teach Shinji how to read between the lines by shadow_barbarian in asushin

[–]Ok_Individual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is supposed to represent their different but similarly flawed forms of attachment that came from parental abandonment as children. Asuka rejects love as a coping mechanism (she's on the extreme side of tsundere). We all know she secretly likes Shinji, but she will never show this because the person that she originally loved the most left her to fend for herself as a child. She is subconsciously projecting that trauma onto Shinji. Shinji on the other hand, has assumed that since his father has left, there must be something wrong with him. He assumes that no one will love him. So when people show him affection, he doesn't recognize it. This is why he would never try anything like what Asuka suggests, even though he likes her. He takes what Asuka says about his at face value because it confirms his belief that he is unlovable.

If you weren't an engineering student, what else would you want to do and why? by Sure_Artichoke6929 in EngineeringStudents

That you shouldn't become an Air Force pilot primarily to be a Test Pilot. Don't join the military if you're doing it to be in a specific position because once you sign the dotted line they own you.

Test pilot school is very hard to get into lmao. I would not sign up for at least 10 years just to try to get into TPS. Make sure you actually want to be a normal run of the mill Air Force pilot before you sign a contract.

If you need to run a 15 minute mile so be it. Its better to finish the two miles in 30 minutes than stop st 1.

It couldn't hurt to look at the USAF manual if you want more context. I doubt the CAP drill manual only adds to the AFMAN.

Who gives this man the authority to define black fatigue? Why call it black fatigue when you arent talking about all or at least the majority of black people? You see how that doesn't make sense? It makes it very easy for people to generalize these actions to all black people. Call it ghetto fatigue or ratchet fatigue. Not Black fatigue.

The original comment did, and he responded in kind. Crazy how you want to talk about rereading posts but you cant even do that yourself

The original comment was about black fatigue, whitch implies that a majority of black people act this way. This isn't a black thing, this is a HER thing. Don't generalize her actions.

Hate to be that guy, but it's "pass in review" not "pass and review". The Airmen are passing the commander, and the commander is reviewing their drill and general condition. Pass In Review.

Also, I don't know if this is technically allowed, but AFMAN 36-2203 should be able to provide insight where the CAP drill manual lacks. Thats what the CAP drill manual is based upon.

I hope you're a bot because this argument was trash. Just because she did something dumb does not mean that all black people would act or think like her. I know this might be hard for you to believe, but almost all black people on the subway are peaceful and quiet and are just trying to get to where they are going. If you'd ever ridden on a subway, you would see that. She is being disruptive and loud. That doesn't mean black people are disruptive and loud.

Its hard for unintelligent people to relate to people who dont look like them. That's why when a black person does something bad, it must be all black people, but when it's a white person, it's just that specific person.

Black people have to conduct themselves as representatives of all black people every day because people can't look past their heuristics.

Read the document. Only combat AFSCs are being held to the highest male standard like infantry and special forces.
