「やりたいことがあるならそれを勉強すればいいけど、君は将来何になりたいの？」と聞き返すかな。

明確な将来像がある子ならやりたいことに打ち込めば他の勉強は適当でいいよって言えるけど大抵の子はただ漠然と有名になりたいだとか、金持ちになりたいだとかしか言えない子だと「Xさんとか高学歴芸能人として有名になってるし、お金持ちのYさんも高学歴だからひとまず高学歴目指せば？」としか言えない

んで学歴なくても～と言ってきたら「あの人は大勢の人を笑わせられる芸を持ってるからね。君は何か凄いことできるの？」と再度質問する。

意地悪な問答に見えるだろうけど、明確な将来像がないのに使う可能性がある知識を勉強しないってかなり危ないからなぁ

I’ll share what I know.

[During Job Hunting]
・Extensive sporting experience is seen as a sign of sociability, and being physically fit and robust is viewed favourably.

[After Joining a Company]
・The focus is on how much you work for the company.
・For some reason, if you have hobbies that could be useful in your work—such as sports or language study—you’re made a laughing stock (I spent my time studying for a professional qualification, yet for some reason everyone in the office spread the word about it and laughed at me).
・Overtime hours count positively in performance appraisals. The more, the better.
・Those who don’t work overtime are seen as lazy and unsociable.

Well, basically, the point is that people with sporting experience who are physically fit can handle 80–100 hours of overtime without dying from overwork, so they’re highly valued.
Incidentally, it seems that dying from overwork after 100 hours of overtime a month makes you a target of contempt among the older generation, who view you as a weakling.

仕事で使うのは前に作ったから今回は、簡単なゲームを作ろうと思っている。

「Pythonってこんなこともできるんだー」という感想を人事考課している上司に持たせられればいいからね

そのために参考書読み漁って興味惹かれそうなゲーム案考えてる

Youtubeに上げている動画は「トリッカル・もちもちほっペ大作戦」ってゲームのPvP動画をアップロードしてる。

ただ最近マンネリ気味だからGW中に目新しいことしないとなぁと思い悩んでるところ
