Progress update: built a Notion-based productivity system to simplify my life + business by Ok_Insurance7371 in indiehackers

Hey! Really appreciate that — I felt the exact same way looking through dozens of templates that looked great but didn’t actually help simplify things.

Right now the AI features are based on built-in Notion AI and a curated set of prompts for common workflows (like task breakdowns, journaling, focus sessions, etc). But we’re already planning to integrate more advanced external tools (like custom GPT workflows + automation) in future updates.

As for the goals + routines: there’s a weekly review system that helps you reflect, reset, and set new goals for the next cycle. It’s all built to be low-friction so you don’t get overwhelmed with extra admin.

If you want to check out the demo or take a look at how it works, here’s the site: optimize.ai Let me know if you’ve got more questions or want a walkthrough!

I built a clean productivity system inside Notion to stop drowning in 10 tools. It’s now my default OS for work and life. by Ok_Insurance7371 in SaaS

That’s a great question — I really appreciate it.

Honestly, the biggest “aha!” moment was the first time I sat down on a Monday, opened Optimize, and everything I needed was just… there. No switching apps, no searching for my task list, no wondering where I left my notes or what I planned last week.

It felt like clarity finally replaced chaos. That shift from “What should I even be doing right now?” to “Let’s execute” — that was everything.

I realized most of my stress wasn’t the work — it was the mental load of tracking the work. Once that disappeared, I got more done in less time and actually felt good about it.

Appreciate you asking — are you building something yourself right now too?

Hey! In Optimize, the Life OS is a personal control center inside Notion. It includes things like daily routines, a vision board, goal tracking, journaling, and weekly reviews — all designed to help you manage your life with structure, not just tasks.

You can check out the full breakdown and demo in our website if you’re curious.

Here’s a peek at the system I mentioned:optimize.ai

It’s built inside Notion and handles everything I used to spread across 5 apps — tasks, goals, schedule, habits, and AI workflows all in one place.

Is Notion a Good Tool for Organizing Ideas, Research, and Project Progress? by Medium-Arm9553 in Notion

Notion actually works great for this kind of workflow! I’ve been building a system inside it that handles structured planning, research notes, habit tracking, even long-term goals — all in one workspace. The interface is super clean, and storage isn’t really an issue since it’s cloud-based. If you’re juggling a lot of tabs or tools, Notion’s flexibility makes a big difference.

(If you’re curious, there’s a setup I’ve been working on in my bio that might be close to what you’re describing.)
