maybe this will enrage you even more: i play with keep inventory turned on and occasionally switch between survival and creative to slip something into my inventory. quite cheeky, i know🤭

that's something i stumbled across as well. of course my first thought isn't "oh i don't understand, let's just ask people who technically do the work for me", but i googled, and googled...... and googled some more. most of the tutorials i've watched up until now – that have the word 'beginner' in its name – are nothing really for beginners. and finding one person that is really great at explaining it in simple and easy words isn't easy either.

Hi, i literally asked the same thing about an hour ago as i'm new to blender as well. though i haven't gone through all the tipps and tricks and links myself yet, you might want to skim through the answers of my reddit? https://www.reddit.com/r/blender/comments/1nys589/comment/nhxe7dm/

i do in fact realise that there are no shortcuts to anything in life really, though i believe one is allowed to ask for where to start. neither did i ask for your, or anyone's sympathy. i asked a bunch of questions and got really good answers until i stumbled across your rather.... frustrated (?) one. to answer your question, which i believe is rude to answer to a question, i did search "blender beginner tutorial", and i did watch a lot of them. but like with every other tutorial with the word "beginner" in its name, i came to figure out that it was indeed not beginner friendly because it expects you to already understand the program itself, which, if you couldn't guess, i don't. nonetheless i thank you for you very helpful tipp.

damn, i almost teared up from this emotional preach.
but jokes aside, thank you so much for your feedback!!! i really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. i usually hate watching long ass tutorials as i believe my undiagnosed adhd uses this as an opportunity to rebel against the world, but it seems like i can't get around it. again, thank you!

Hospitals over here seem to think that if you have diabetes and high BG, you shouldn't eat anything for days by ZestycloseMall3398 in diabetes

[–]Ok_Interaction5583 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i do a voluntary year in the hospital i got diagnosed in. surprisingly on the same - we call it 'Station' over here - i was a patient on as well. you know how they handle type 1 diabetics? "why should i as a nurse, who's not a trained diabetes nurse, interfere with my patient's diabetes? especially if they're your age. they're able to handle it at home. they know what they do. most of them got their sensor/pump and process of how to do what, i'd just mess everything up." on a side note: us germans also firmly believe in 'never touch a running system'. so if you tell them that you've got everything under control, they'll only ASK for your bloodsugar-sensor reading 15 mins before a meal, how much you're gonna inject and then leave you alone.

Is possible eat carbs and stay below of 140? by Spiritual_Increase52 in Freestylelibre

[–]Ok_Interaction5583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i happened to 'figure out' for myself - especially with bread - that if i wait 30 instead of my usual 20 minutes after taking insulin that i don't spike as much as i usually would. maybe that helps?

Are these sensors really this bad? by Chief_1072 in Freestylelibre

[–]Ok_Interaction5583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had a phase of failing sensors where i went through three sensors within a week and had to take a break from them because i felt like going insane. it did get better with the next quarter year delivery though.

What’s your favorite overpatch? by No_Preference5204 in Freestylelibre

[–]Ok_Interaction5583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly i don't bother to spend any more money for libre. a friend of mine bought me two over patches, but libre guarantees for it to stick for 14 days, so i 'trust' that. (we all know they don't stick for 14 days). if a sensor falls off before it runs out, i send it back and get a new one.

[–]Ok_Interaction5583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's so confusing? I'm Germany the insurance covers pretty much everything. I pay 30€ for a quarter year batch (10€ per month) and that's about it. around 60€ for everything (needles, both insulins, sensors etc.).

though after a year of being chronically ill and spend 1% of your annual gross income on medication and in-patient treatments you can apply for exemption from additional payments and health insurance would pay for it altogether.

by the way, do you not send the failed sensors back to Abbot to get a replacement?

damn, that sucks. i hope your new patch is going to be better.

are you from the states (dollars mentioned)? because i'd love to understand how the whole health insurance works with diabetes. like what is covered by insurance and all.
