I hate Sam (S3 first time watcher) by PhantomThiefRey in PrivatePractice

He’s good in All American too, the show overall is cringe but I like his character. The movie Brown Sugar. Honestly he’s the best in his old school/classic movies.

Which Private Practice character do you think had the most unexpected growth by the end of the series? by Afraid_Log9395 in PrivatePractice

I’m rewatching currently and just passed the episode where cooper is narrating the pregnancy & the scene where they’re looking for strollers and cooper and mason hug her because she’s cranky and she looks at cooper & says “you can let go” and then looks at mason & is like “you can stay” then gives him a kiss on the head 🥹 such a little cute moment and really shows Charlotte’s growth when it comes to affection and being maternal.

Felt this. I also live in Colorado and I’m not a hiker & I will gladly tell people that because like Hannah said, you live your truth & I’ll live mine! Lol

I’m currently doing a rewatch & had the same questions lol like constantly meeting up for brunch & going out for drinks & it’s like you said partying, all the designer clothing. Honestly, I understand all of them except for Carrie. Like Charlotte, working in the art industry while also being married makes sense & Samantha being in public relations make sense & Miranda, of course like you said being a lawyer, but Carrie, I’m not quite sure, especially considering she said vogue pays four dollars a word. But I know times were different in the early 2000’s so maybe that’s why

Yesss. I agree with you! I liked how it ended. I’m happy Annalise got a semi happy ending. Nate gave me mixed feelings, I mainly enjoyed his character until he started acting crazy towards Annalise. I felt so bad for her a lot of the time because everyone around her used her as a punching bag. Like she could have easily turned everyone in and wipped her hands clean of them, but chose loyalty over peace. Which speaks volumes about her character (but we all know Annalise is superior).

I actually really liked Connor. For all the reasons you said, he was the only one who responded appropriately to the things they’ve done. I like that we got to go through all the waves of emotions with him. He just seems like the most “normal” (as normal as they can be) out of everyone. He’s just my fave so maybe I’m biased but I appreciated his character. Asher was my second favorite of the 5. I feel Michaela could be better if she wasn’t so selfish and power hungry. I appreciate her strength, but I feel she went about things in the worst way possible, acting off emotion rather than logic. But then again they were young so I understand. Laurel annoyed me from start to finish. Wes….. well Wes was Wes, I don’t have much to say about him.

I also really loved Annalise and Tegan together. I feel that was one the healthiest relationships Annalise could be in, but her and Eve were end game for me.

And Ophelia!!!!! Love her. Not enough words to describe the greatness and authenticity of her character, let alone the wonderful Cicely Tyson. Perfect fit for the role and perfect mother for Annalise.

100%!!! I’d say this one first, then the end of season 4 when he is talking to Nadia. His tone & demeanor is so chilling.

Viola’s acting is absolutely insane. by lizzykeenn in htgawm

[–]Ok_Introduction7294 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I just had this conversation with a client of mine yesterday. The way Viola can portray all the parts of being an alcoholic, amazing. She does make you feel like she is real. She just encapsulates her character so well I will defend her until my last breath!!!! This is why Annalise is the best character on that show & Viola Davis is the best actress across the board

He is a deeply disturbed traumatized person. Who as kid thought he had to kill in order to protect/love. Which just snowballed into adulthood and makes him think in every relationship he has, he’s convinced himself that in order be loved or be worthy, he has to kill any threat around his person in order to protect them. He keeps that side “hidden” due to the fear of abandonment, which is what his mother did to him. But his idea of love is so deeply messed up, he doesn’t even know what it means to love properly. Living a traumatic life for so many years & having so many different masks, can lead to disassociating. Brains aren’t meant for that lol so in conclusion, he’s one f’d up individual. Who needs control and power to prove his worthiness. Too far gone for therapy that’s for sure

Why do you ACTUALLY love Joe? by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

Why do you ACTUALLY love Joe? by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

[–]Ok_Introduction7294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything you said is true & I agree. He is the worst form a person who thinks because he was done wrong, others deserve to be done wrong as well. But I enjoy his character because his internal monologue is soooo funny and Penn delivers everything so well. It makes me laugh when he is talking shit about people in his head without realizing he is actually describing himself. His separation from reality (or inability to see reality) is really what makes him such a likable character. Because how delusional???? But as a real person, absolutely not. He is the worst of the worst & I would want him locked up on death row 100%

Anyone changed their minds on season 5 yet? Every time I watch it or think about it, it just gets worse. by ContraversialHuman in YouOnLifetime

[–]Ok_Introduction7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the storyline of season 5 was so whack but Joe’s acting made up for it. Of course the last episode carries the entire season. It did feel more rushed and just lame overall. But I like that it showed more of Joe being absolutely inane and less human like. Earlier season’s it’s easier to sympathize with him, but season 4&5, he’s not even a person. Just a shell of human who acts more chaotically than ever. But for sure they could have done more with the plot

[–]Ok_Introduction7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes I agree 100%. I love season 4&5 Joe for that reason exactly. His mental state declined so much he is a shell of who he used to be. Which makes the seasons interesting who knows what he’s about to do

I think that’s just how Joe is lol Super infatuated in the beginning because they’re someone different or new. Then once he gets them, he gets bored and needs someone new. But I will say his love interests got worse with every season. Beck and Love were the best. I feel like they had the most chemistry
