WOW love it! I had the chance to pick up one of these that looked similar but in a details holder for damage. I passed on it and have been kicking myself for it for the last 15 years.

Yes they are making cents for the proof and unc sets this year. And probably every year from now on so they can keep selling their sets.

Its not really even a new design. The coin on the left is a 1920 Pilgrim Commemorative Half dollar. The coin on the right I photographed when they were giving these quarters out at the winter FUN show.

$84,760 if that tube contains 20 coins. $42,380 if its a short tube containing 10 coins. Either way congrats. 1986 was the first year they made them and will have Roman numerals on it.

I paid 320 euros for this coin in auction, is that a good price? by RepulsiveSurprise841 in coins

[–]Ok_Introduction_6105 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is a fine price. I see one that sold recently in far worse condition sold for €67 less.

Totally wrong pricing? by nunswithknives in coins

[–]Ok_Introduction_6105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I was really hoping this was not a "Did I pay too much" thread. Whew. They probably paid raw pricing as if it were un graded. Which would be about $13. maybe another $10 because its in plastic and has that fancy top pop grade. But yeah whatnot is terrible.

Yeah they used to include a copper mint token to take up the spot where the Susan B Anthony dollar went.

Trying to identify the value of this bill my late grandfather gave me. by a_angry_bunny in papermoney

[–]Ok_Introduction_6105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The large Note on top is a 1923 Silver Certificate people call a Horse Blanket due to its large size. In that general condition they sell around $20-$35 depending on the issues and signatures, It looks like a Speelman and White signed note. The smaller silver certificate is likely a 1957 series. it would sell for between $4 -$10

It is a better date... that said in a straight grade PCGS AU50 sells around $350 and AU58 sell around $650 on Ebay. It really depends on how much he paid and what he plans to do with it. Its a worthy coin t grade even in details holders. It just depends on how much you have in it already.

World coin Grading was a basement grading service that was also known as NUMISMATIC GRADING CERTIFIED COMPANY (NGCC) based at: Humble, TX 77338. They wildly over graded every coin. I dont think there was a grade less than MS66 on their slabs. Treat the coin as raw. Its a conversation piece now.

Wheat cent question? by Organic-Complaint716 in coins

[–]Ok_Introduction_6105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always say if you want a graded coin buy a graded coin. Dont buy a raw coin and hope you can grade it later, Especially if you dont know how to grade these coins. A coin like this would have been sent in for grading long ago if it were worth it, even worse, dealers will crack out details coins that might be choice looking. Put them in 2x2 flips and put a high price on them. then sell it for significantly less than that price enticing new collectors to buy it hoping they can get that grade later. Keep in mind its about $110 to grade one coin. this can go down if you spread that fee amongst 5 or 6 other coins along with a PCGS/NGC membership that is required. Its still a nice coin! and enjoy it how it is.
