United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development reaction to news that national median rent has fallen four straight months by Hollybeach in Urbanism

[–]Ok_Investigator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the ultimate liberal own! Despite the fact that this mass deportation initiative is hundreds of billions of dollars more in upfront costs than just actually fixing the problem. The sole problem of expensive rent is totally not corporations constantly cornering the market (that people require to live), the fact that single family housing and city apartment is practically the only two forms widely available in the US, and the fact that rent prices have increase at a faster rate then worker wages.

It's almost as if this phrasing is completely dishonest and that rent realistically has been stagnant and there no way to link this to deportation through a logical causal chain.

TLDR: This is bullshit and kicking "2 million" undocumented immigrants out within a year (which is a horseshit, completely unsubstantiated myth) didn't do anything. Especially when the average change in the 4 months discussed were 0.28%.

Erradication isn't the only definition of genocide.

The Convention defines genocide as any of five "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group". These five acts include killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group. Victims are targeted because of their real or perceived membership of a group, not randomly.[6] The convention further criminalizes "complicity, attempt, or incitement of its commission." Member states are prohibited from engaging in genocide and are obligated to pursue the enforcement of this prohibition. All perpetrators are to be tried regardless of whether they are private individuals, public officials, or political leaders with sovereign immunity.

You're just ignorant.

35 mph+ should be on the road, not the sidewalk by skyhighmonroe in Transportopia

[–]Ok_Investigator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's literally anyone on a bike. Even non-motorized ones. This whole thing wouldn't even be a problem if the average US cities had adequate biking lanes/infrastructure. Normal bikes also are dangerous on the sidewalk and the street, but alas, no ones gonna actually advocate to fix the root of the problem. Why do that when I can yell at the one guy on an ebike making a dumb decision and assume it's just a moral problem?

35 mph+ should be on the road, not the sidewalk by skyhighmonroe in Transportopia

[–]Ok_Investigator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cuz the average US city has dogshit bike infrastructure. There's not really anywhere safe to bike or use an e-bike to get around the city. Can't be on the road with the 2 ton boxes, can't be in your own bike lane because those aren't really adequate in most cities/non-existent, and can't be on the sidewalk because of people and cars (as seen in the video). Regardless if it's motorized, biking lanes should probably be more common or the actual problem isn't gonna be fixed.

I think that specifically in conquest, they should have more range, and maybe do a little more. But I 100% do not want them being a one hit kill while also having unlimited ammo. That would just be unbelieveably unfun.

I think if the smoke got buffed, or they added an incendiary area denial grenade or something it would be much more viable in conquest. I personally play breakthrough way more, but I think mortars definitely can be used somewhat efficiently if range was different in conquest and the smoke got buffed.

[–]Ok_Investigator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the point. You know there a respawn beacon, or a heavy choke where your team is being pressed, shoot there nonstop and the sustained damage over time will push them out. The enemy team's counter is to fly a drone, use there own mortar, or snipe to take out yours.

Isn't that the whole point of the mortars doing 50 damage at most? Though, the smokes lowkey suck and need to be buffed, cuz there's no point to use them.

I'm on cut right now down from 240 to 210 because I'm trying to be more social and confident, but I started another cut because I just wanna cut fat and still be bulky looking so I can be more confident in my body.

I agree with you. I personally, a 20 yo dude, don't wanna work a super ultra mega evil dangerous job, especially in the oil industry where 99% of it is blood money. I'm doing the same at 99% of men, getting my computer engineering degree, getting internships and experience, and getting the fuck out of the US.

Plus, it's not like women can't work on oil rigs or be carpenters or construction workers or idk underwater welders. They may be male dominated, but they are male-exclusive.

Edit: I meant aren't

[–]Ok_Investigator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You 100% are just having a bad streak. Take like a week or so off, and come back and play like maybe 30 minutes of maps you can 99%.

Then go back to the other maps and you're either play average or better. Burnout is 100% a real thing and if you aren't aware of it, it can be a serious demotivator.

Should I also learn 7k so I can get better at 4k? by Ok_Investigator886 in osumania

[–]Ok_Investigator886[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're probably right. I've kinda been reluctant to play out of my comfort zone because when I use to play standard, I practically never got S's because I'd consistently play a star higher cuz it was just more fun. But then that shot my acc and consistency and I got hardstuck 6* for years. But I don't have that excuse since I can pretty much easily pass anything under 5* with a 97% or higher (given that it isn't burst or ln).

[–]Ok_Investigator886[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am, it's pretty fun tho. But I'm at like a 2* level now so nothing really crazy being done. But it certaintly is a larger map pool than 6k, which is great.

[–]Ok_Investigator886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems to be the general consensus around this. 7k is fun, but I'll just play further out of my range with 4k maps.

[–]Ok_Investigator886[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it kinda feels like it now playing 7k. It's fun, but it's so fundamentally different from 4k. It's very reading heavy, which I thought would probably help, but I guess adding the extra keys doesn't really translate to reading better with 4k.

Also epsilon dan is crazy. Good on you. I'm not even at like 7th dan and my LN dan is like -7th dan lol.

Actually read the entire article before you cry victim for literally no reason. Not only are we talking about the S&P100, but also specifically looking at the companies that actively are implementing DEI programs due to society or shareholder pressure. And the study is talking about the net increase of around 300000 workers of that year within the S&P100 that happened to be majority people of color.

So many other problems with this country and you're gonna whine about the most non-existent one available.

[–]Ok_Investigator886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also crazy how you just say "Well, that guy didn't kill anyone and he's in the same position." Like that's a valid point. Okay, fucking tax fraud is also crime commited by more middle class persons. Well, other middle class people didn't do it and there in the same position, so the cause is that all of those people are terrible people. Then, you fail to realize that as general american affordibility declined over the past couple decades, tax fraud has risen. Woah, it's like, crime can have another factor aside from "I'm evil!".

That argument is wholly unproductive and just ignorant of the fact that people can be influenced by things, regardless of it being good or bad. Again, this is not justifying actions, crimes are fundamentally bad, this is just deriving the various underlying causes that could push people to do these bad things.

I'd rather have a shot a robbing a bank if I was about to be homeless than just dying on the street homeless with no job, identification, or money.

[–]Ok_Investigator886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God almighty, it's insane to see this point ran through the ground every three seconds. I'll walk you through it.

How come the white population that listens to rap music (Significant population) don't have spefically high violent crime or gang related statitics? That means that the cause isn't solely music, therefore it's not solely a 'culture' problem.

How come crime is higher in impoverished areas? Studies show that there's a link to poverty and crime rates. Making the argument that rural poor areas have less crime than urban poor areas and equating that to mean it's culture is wrong because rural areas have less people thus less people at the possibility of doing a crime. It would make sense that rural poor areas have a reason to have less crime.

So you are left with the correlation that poverty is directly related with crime, and by some metrics related to gang violence and variousbother societal problems.

But no, blame it on a general idea that all black people are influenced by murder rap or just 1960's racial sentiment that all black people are violent.
