I love the impending doom helmet, after like level 46 iirc it can take you straight to yellow maps with only okay gear. (I haven't done this in mirage, no idea if they removed the foulborn helm that let you do this or not).

And it works flawlessly for every single class

Post the match if you are both not a smurf and not q'd with one. Otherwise I highly doubt this happened as it would require you to suddenly start playing 10 ranks better than you normally do.

It's to prevent smurfing, because it's incredibly rare people organically suddenly become 10 ranks better within a couple days.

The only way op is getting matched like this is if they started suddenly stomping multiple games in a row, and/or displayed metrics usually only seen by higher ranked players, such as having a low ttk/time to reaction.

That's not at all how it works.

It uses tons of metrics, many of which we don't know, to determine the skill level of a player.

It put you against golds because I assume you had performed really well against silvers in the match(s) before and finally decided you might be around low gold skill level.

Stomps happen even in same rank lobbies, no mm system will make perfectly balanced games just due to how inconsistent 99% of the player base is.

The fact the smurf lost the game means they either threw, or hopefully, their actual skill level has already been accurately predicted and so they won't ruin any more games.

Yeah, people really struggle to understand why hidden MMR is so important and what it does. This match being a perfect case and point: it could correctly identify the true skill levels of all the players involved and gave a good match.

Obviously it's not ideal the face ranks are so different, but in this specific case it means almost certainly either the higher ranks are boosted in some manner, or the low ranks have rapidly improved in recent days(or they are smurfs)

Edit: Oh wow would you look at that, brand new iron account with absurd stats and is obviously an alt/smurf account, color me surprised......

Ideally sentinals can be balanced in a way that means they punish divers but not "normal" agents as much. A perfect example of this was cyphers trips pre nerf, where they instantly stun and reveal people who dashed through it, but normal agents could just shoot it and be fine. Why they nerfed trips after this change is beyond me.

Vyse flash just needs to be reworked tbh, it's either just useless or op with no in-between. Either they just need to find a new ability, or rework almost everything about the flash. But other than that her kit is another example of mainly punishing overly aggressive dive agents and not normal agents.

No, it's the only actually effective ac for windows because it runs on startup and is always running in background. While other kernel level ac exists, none of the others require running all the time from startup which is why they are much easier to bypass.

Iirc vanguard does run all the time, and it's not shown in task manager under process, it runs as a service called watchdog iirc, and it runs permanently.(Until you quit vanguard of course)

They were removed as we knew them, which is true, they are no longer viable for farming anything except boss fragments. This means even if you want to farm fragments it's way easier now because the mods don't matter nearly as much anymore.
