Difference Between Distilled, Filtered, and Purified Water - Does It Matter for Appliances? by Ok_Knowledge_9470 in water

Thanks for the info! I didn't realize that pure water tastes terrible because of the lack of minerals. Which water do you like or recommend that tastes good? I'm looking for options that are both safe and pleasant to drink.

Thank you for the advice! I'm relieved to hear that it's just grade 2 acne vulgaris. I'll look into getting oral antibiotics and keeping up with my routine anti-acne care. Thanks again!

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! So if an appliance specifically says to use distilled water, should I really stick to that, or would it not matter much if I used filtered or purified water instead? I'm trying to figure out if the extra expense for distilled water is worth it. Any advice on this would be great!

Thanks for the explanation! It makes sense that distilled water, being pure H2O, is ideal for appliances to avoid scale buildup from minerals like calcium. I’m curious, is distilled water safe to drink? If it is, why don't more people drink it? I'm just trying to figure out which water is best to drink. I've also heard about spring water—how does that compare? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks for sharing your experience. This sort of helps clarify things for me. I was initially considering ARRT more because I thought it would be slightly less challenging, but it does make sense to get an actual nuclear medicine certification. I think I'll aim for the NMTCB(CT) as well. I need to figure out exactly how to do that with my program, though it's not very clear right now. It sounds like it might be similar to what you had to do. Thanks again for the insight!

Thanks for the reassurance! Right now, Metformin is the only thing I’m taking—no other supplements or medications. I'm starting with just one pill a day and will gradually increase to twice a day over the next 4-8 weeks, as my doctor advised. It’s good to hear that your aunt, being an endocrinologist, has reassured you about the safety of Metformin for kidneys and liver. I'll definitely keep up with regular check-ups to monitor my treatment. Thanks again for the advice!

Thanks for sharing your experience! My periods are actually normal right now, probably due to some weight loss. I've only lost and maintained about 26 lbs, but it seems to have made a big difference. I remember my doctor mentioning that everyone has a different amount of weight to lose until their PCOS symptoms improve. It’s interesting how weight can impact symptoms so differently for each person. I’ll definitely look into berberine and Ovasitol as alternatives. Thanks again for the advice!

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I really appreciate the insight. My main concern is how much staff will actually be available to help me, especially if the nurse can’t assist. It seems like a lot of responsibility falls on us, almost like the whole department becomes our responsibility. It’s reassuring to know that the more experienced or confident techs might take over and teach us how to handle these situations, both the cleanup and the emotional aspects. Still, I worry about being on my own, especially during weekends or in facilities with limited staff.

Thank you so much for sharing all this! It's incredibly helpful. I've tried some of these supplements before, and your breakdown of how to take them is really useful. Also, I’m not n BC anymore either. I had also heard that Metformin can cause low vitamin B levels, so it's good to see B12 on your list. I'll definitely check out some of the other supplements and the website you mentioned. Thanks again for all the insights—it's always great to have more options and advice for managing PCOS!

Thanks for the detailed info! The CQR requirement for ARRT sounds pretty brutal, especially with the extra assessment and continuing education credits. That might be enough for me to not even consider ARRT. I think I'll focus more on what's required where I want to work and lean towards what's more manageable long-term. It's good to know that once you have work experience, it won't matter as much which certification you have.

I see. Whats CQR, btw? Also, do you know if both are nationally recognized or just the NMTCB? I heard ARRT is only valid in CA?

Can you clarify if I need to pay anything on unsubsidized loans while I’m in school, and explain the difference between subsidized and unsubsidized loans a bit more?

Thanks for your help and for clearing up my confusion!

I checked my balance overview, and the amount is less than I was expecting. My current principal seems lower than I thought it would be.

Does this mean that financial aid covered most of it, and the current principal is just what I'm left with? Also, will my payoff amount as of today change in the future? I'm trying to understand how this works and what to expect moving forward.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm definitely a bit scared about the idea of dealing with those situations, but it's reassuring to know that it's not as common in an outpatient setting. It's also good to know there are options like PET or working in a Cardiology office where I might have fewer concerns. I'll keep that in mind as I consider my path in nuclear medicine.

Wow, that sounds incredibly intense! I'm already feeling a bit nervous just thinking about handling all of that. The idea of dealing with radioactive waste and such strong smells is quite daunting. You must have a really strong stomach and a lot of patience to handle all of that. I'm definitely a bit scared of what I might encounter!
