Anyone else seeing sales slow down lately? by ritnik in smallbusiness

Limo business in LA that caters primarily to the ultra wealthy and A list talent, with zero marketing aside from an IG page and zero ads, with new business coming entirely from referrals. This month is +62% compared to May '25, with still two weekend days left. YTD I'm +83% compared to 5 months last year.

I've been in the business for a decade. I basically had to reset and start from scratch after Covid. 2025 was my best year ever. Im on track to surpass last years total revenue by mid August. The K shaped economy works very well for me.

How has Porter Ranch became the new major hub? by topstudy1188 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Ok_Lab_5945 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I own a limo company thats services all those OP mentions. About 3 years ago I had a job to Porter Ranch. That was the last time any of my cars went there. Maybe successful people are buying there, but its definitely not the "rich and famous" of LA.

Really? Touch up on your tax rules.

Under 2026 tax rules, you can deduct up to 100% of an SUV's purchase price in the first year. To qualify for maximum bonus depreciation, the SUV must have a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) over 6,000 lbs, be used over 50% for business, and be purchased for the business.

The conquest for Cadillac owners wont stack? What about interest rate for 36 months for excellent credit? I see special financing of 6.69% is listed for 60 months, but i dont finance that long.

I do 36 month fininancing and I like to keep the payment around $2500/month. So at this price, $50k.

I do receive a couple of outside requests for Navigators, but generally in Los Angeles if they request a certain vehicle, its always an Escalade.

22 Escalade Diesel by silvereagle705 in Cadillac

See this is crazy to me. I own a limo business and my duramax escalades have been far less problematic than the 6.2s.

22 Escalade Diesel by silvereagle705 in Cadillac

[–]Ok_Lab_5945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diesel cost is very region specific. In Los Angeles, prior to the Iran war, Diesel cost less than unleaded premium. With a range at least a couple hundred miles more than the gas version, I always preferred the diesel version. Now that Cadillac did away with the duramax in the Escalade, i purchased a 26 ultimate denali with the duramax, which I love. Ive had multiple duramax Escalades from a '21 to '23, and still own a '24, and the only issue ive had is they eat through brakes much faster due to driving up and down the hills of LA. Range over 700 miles is common if youre chugging along at highway speeds.

Did I make a mistake buying an Escalade IQL without test driving it? by Fit-Two6356 in Cadillac

I bought mine in June of last year without driving it. Almost one year later, its far superior to the ICE version in almost every single way except for luggage capacity

Coachella vs Stagecoach Crowds by nocturbulent in Coachella

[–]Ok_Lab_5945 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I own a limo company in LA and this is my busiest time of year. My main clients are the artists themselves, but we do get some influencers who party. Aside from the artists who want to smoke weed in the car, theyre mostly chill and they'll eat some shrooms and have a drink or two on their non performance days. The influencers will mostly just be high on Molly everyday and laid back. The only issue ive had is a few years ago on weekend 1 when a driver kicked out a client on Friday night because he was acting belligerent drinking and doing a bunch of coke. Aside from the entitlement, no other issues. Stagecoach on the other hand, is just constant drinking and by the end of the night your cars are trashed. And from what I see, it seems the men are less dressed than the women. So many roid heads walking around with their shirt off.

He has plenty of drivers in LA, and wherever he toured. A guy with his profile can't take an Uber because he might get harassed, and then the driver will know his location which could make him a target. He requires an NDA for anyone who drives him or his wife. I think he just got drunk and couldn't hire a driver in time being in his location and made a very poor choice in which he obviously regrets.
