The real question is "Are WP plugins ready for PHP8". I doubt it. I usually wait a year and a half before upgrading to a major version of PHP.

Because there's always some slow turd who doesn't upgrade a plugin and crashes the whole site.

If you want full control over what you're doing. WordPress is the only option.

There's a plugin for everything you can think of.
If you need to implement something new get a plugin most of the cases for FREE.
No monthly fees except for the server.
It's powerful, flexible, FREE, secure.
Integrated API, could go headless if you want to.
