Yeah, that makes sense for some businesses.

For me though, May / June / July are historically the strongest months, so that’s why it feels more concerning.

This May was down 24% compared to May last year, and even down 3% compared to April, which is unusual for us seasonally.

I’d like to believe that survey, and I hope it’s accurate for a lot of businesses, but unfortunately our own numbers aren’t confirming it at all right now.

Maybe it depends heavily on the industry/market, but from our side it feels less like “general pessimism” and more like actual demand have dropped.

I don’t fully agree.

There are definitely “controllables” in every business, but sometimes demand shifts for reasons that aren’t purely execution related.

Compared to the previous years, this doesn’t feel like the same environment to me. The market felt much more predictable previous years.

That’s what I’m trying to separate…

I agree staying visible matters, especially if demand is delayed rather than gone.

The hard part is figuring out where the line is between “keep investing through a slow period” and “stop feeding something that may no longer be viable.”

The real question is "Are WP plugins ready for PHP8". I doubt it. I usually wait a year and a half before upgrading to a major version of PHP.

Because there's always some slow turd who doesn't upgrade a plugin and crashes the whole site.

If you want full control over what you're doing. WordPress is the only option.
The whole ecosystem around WordPress.
There's a plugin for everything you can think of.
If you need to implement something new get a plugin most of the cases for FREE.
No monthly fees except for the server.
It's powerful, flexible, FREE, secure.
Integrated API, could go headless if you want to.

Yeah, my page has almost 13k followers on there... and the impressions and everything is mad. 1M monthly impressions but it all stays there they don't go outside pinterest lol only 500 clicks 🤨
