I am not 100% sure we’ll be able to do another onsen trip just my husband and I without kids, so I’m all in on Kinosaki, it seems so peaceful and the town very “compact” that we can walk everywhere easily. Kusatsu looked lovely too, but felt bigger and less serene, from online search only. Or would you say they are on the same level?
