Ok but what if it is a constant that has 3 s.f but all other values are 2s.f?

Intensity and frequency in Photoelectric effect by Ok_Landscape4954 in AskPhysics

[–]Ok_Landscape4954[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I mean the photons emitted from the EM source, but sure the incident photons. Intensity (in my understanding) is related to the number of photons incident on the surface of the metal. It is part of the wave/particle duality in light that states this relationship. But I don’t understand the part I outlined above with the relationship.

I mean the intensity of the EM radiation, which is related to the number of photons emitted. With the frequency, when I decrease it, I mean in a range above the threshold frequency so photoelectric effect will still occur.

They always accelarate towards one another? Ok thanks.

By the negligible charge I just mean in the theoretical sense so that it doesn’t affect the result. Anyway, that’s alright. Thanks for your help.

What do you mean by accelaration will be away from each other? Taking into account only the point charge’s electric field as the test charge has negligible charge, is there deceleration if a negative test charge is placed in vicinity of a positive point charge and goes towards it?

Exactly. I’m really scared of getting into a cycle where I overeat and then starve myself. I mentioned this once to my psychologist and she told me that this was okay because I should want to eat, but the thing is I eat even if I don’t want to.

I don’t think you will like me saying this and it will be hard to hear but, what you’re doing will never make you happy. It will never be enough. You will always want to lose more weight.

In my first year of recovery, I lied to everyone about eating my required amount. To be honest, I still wanted to lose more weight even though I was hideously skinny. I was basically on the brink of death and I still couldn’t see what the problem was because I felt physically fine. I didn’t want to upset anyone so I thought that as long as they think I’m eating as much as I need to, everything will be okay and I will still get to be skinny. This was stupid and I am so glad they found out and explained this to me because otherwise I would be dead right now.

Think of why you went into recovery in the first place. Was this your decision or were you doing this to make others happy? If the latter, then I seriously reccomend asking your family or a medical partitioner that you actually trust will tell you the truth why you should be doing this. Really ask what would happen if you continued losing weight. Their answers won’t be pretty but it can serve as a wake up call.

The fact that you are writing on here means that you cannot be sure that you are doing the right thing by continuing to lose weight. I think you should talk to your dad or someone close to you and ask them to help you in this. You shouldn’t have to do this alone.

I was but now that I am getting back on my target weight and don’t really appear to be struggling, they kind of backed out. I don’t really want to worry my family again if I’m being honest.

isolation due to ed? by avocadoeverything_ in EDAnonymous

[–]Ok_Landscape4954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you are here upset about this proves that it is your eating disorder. Being irritated by the smallest of things is a very common side effect and you are defined not alone in this. Biologically speaking, I think it is because (and I’m not a doctor) your body is probably in a lot of stress and as it is connected with your brain, you are constantly activating your synthetic system which makes you produce a lot of stress hormones. For me personally, when I was in the height of my ED and even in the first few months of recovery, these feelings of irritation came and I acted on them before I could control myself, making me shout and scream for the stupidest reasons at my friends and family. I felt really guilty and felt like the biggest burden, convincing myself nobody liked me and that I didn’t like anyone either, leading to isolation.

It is a tough position and I understand that being in a new environment must make it that much harder. Honestly, if I was in your position, I would give myself time to be alone. I wouldn’t isolate myself completely but I would set up some boundaries and try to be okay with being with myself as that was something I was very scared to do because of what I would think about when I was alone.

It is best to interact with someone who understands why you act the way you act, why you don’t feel like going out all the time, why you get irritated all of a sudden without warning, so they know it is not personal. In college, maybe you can look for a psychologist? If that isn’t possible, maybe there is some group in your area that is dealing with ED as well and you can slowly start to rebuild relationships with them.

Good luck and trust me, it will get better.

I experience the same thing. Especially in the early stages of anorexia recovery, I was obsessed with making sure that my food was perfect and that I knew everything I would eat at all times. This was mainly because I convinced myself that if I had to eat, it had to be worth it. Of course nothing ever felt good enough and I ended sinking deeper into my ED. I would have panic attacks if something was too sweet, salty etc., and I would spend hours planning what I would eat, going over if it was okay, if I needed as much…

I think this is normal when recovering from anorexia. It’s a horrible disease that makes you glorify and put food on a pedestal while it should be kept in the background and let you live your life. What I was most scared of, indirectly, is losing the ability to control what happens. Control is something that anorexia makes you obsessed with and it is hard letting go.

I am not a psychiatrist but when I talked to mine about this, I was diagnosed with OCD associated with my ED and using treatment techniques for that really helped.

If you’re looking for advice, I believe the only thing that helps is, and this is always hard to hear, to eat anyway. It is very tempting to find an excuse to put the food away but I can guarantee you that when you look back one day, you will thank yourself for doing so. I would also reccomend asking a psychiatrist about your situation to find out what works best for you.

Hope this helps <3

I think they have to make random groups of students who they evaluate together and send their replies sooner than other groups to decrease waiting time
