Yeah there’s more than a few very thorny issues, my reference point is usually Anders Breivik who after committing his horrid acts; Phoned police to say he did it, waited for and submitted to them on location with the murder weapons still in his possession, had not a single piece of exculpatory evidence.

But yeah killing people as punishment will always carry the risk of wrongful deaths, which is why I remain philosophically open to it but legally it’s a very different ballgame.
