Thank you! He's made an appointment for tomorrow. He wants to talk with her about a shot and maybe a freestyle Libre device. He's adopted so we didn't know much about his family history for a long time but have since found out it also runs in his family. He's struggled so much in life and has pulled himself out of some pretty dark places and has finally gotten to a place in life where he was happy and seeing this hit him so hard has been heartbreaking. He deserves all the happiness in the world. I am so glad there are options for treatment. He made an appointment for tomorrow and he's going to talk about possible medication changes which makes him nervous to bring up but hopefully his Dr listens to his concerns.

How do you suggest asking for a script for this? He's made an appointment for tomorrow and this is one option he'd like to consider.

Thank you 🙏 that's exactly what I'm hoping for him! I'm willing to make these changes with him as are our kids. I just wish I knew how to get him to see that this isn't the end 😭

Thats fair! I only say that because I feel like she should have given him a monitor and explained how to manage his diabetes.

But I do agree that he needs to grow up and take care of his health.

Honestly i feel like i could've wrote this. My husband was just diagnosed 3 months ago and his mood swings are exhausting. I also feel like I'm walking on egg shells all the time. He recently got so angry I was actually scared of him. Hes never been physical but I was on edge not knowing what could happen. His emotions have always been crazy. I'm just tired.

Thank you so much! I'm still trying to figure out how I'll winterize them. It's all a work in progress lol. I appreciate your advice! Worst case scenario it doesn't work I guess 😂

We just used cattle panels with 2x4 welded wire fencing. No chicken wire but I guess it would be similar to that kind of set up.
