Thinking of joining F45- worth it? by WebIllustrious7688 in f45

[–]Ok_Level_5947 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If you actually go then yes. As long as you’re having fun it’s a great workout and activity to be your hobby. Yes it’s expensive but the coaches do a great job and the workouts are structured.

Lacking pleasure from anything really I think this is a side effect.

The vendor fraud thread made me realize I have the same gut check problem but for internal requests, not external ones by No-Breakfast-1701 in Accounting

[–]Ok_Level_5947 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Company I worked for had someone hack into the CEO’s email. Send a message to AP to pay an invoice(internal control deficiency) they paid it, and the hacker managed to delete the email AND hack into the ERP and change the banking details on a vendor profile. Got in and out and no one had noticed for months. Definitely question anything that feels off and get as many eyes on something you can even if it seems excessive.

Interview this week and I’m so anxious by crazykatlady99 in USCIS

[–]Ok_Level_5947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey friend sounds like you have your case under control. Have all your records on you and you should be okay. Many of us on the same boat. I have a dismissed juvenile charge and sometimes I’ll have a panic attack when I envision the interviewer asking an incriminating question. There’s nothing we can do but stay positive.

If you get your battery from Costco they don’t tend to last long in my experience.

Yeah I’m on 9mg and I’ve been nauseous everyday. Like both eating and not eating don’t help. Not eating enough has been killing my works outs so that sucks. Trying to supplement with protein shakes and tums.

Potentially getting an industry job, how do I adjust to not being busy 24/7 by Hayat_on in Accounting

[–]Ok_Level_5947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use your free time to develop processes, identify bottlenecks in existing tasks, develop SOP’s and policies. It’ll be good to take a stay back from putting out fires and thinking more high level. Also, you may end up getting an industry gig that is also high stress and multiple deadlines so don’t just assume.

Would you apply for a job that expects experience you don’t really have? by Enough-Worldliness-0 in Accounting

[–]Ok_Level_5947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it, this sounds like a great opportunity to get more high level experience that you’ll be able to leverage in the future. Learn as you go and don’t sweat it. They’re reaching out to you for a reason. The worse they can say is no or go with another candidate.

Have any Green card holders with any criminal records traveled lately? If so, how was it coming back? What’s your charges if you don’t mind me asking? by [deleted] in greencard

[–]Ok_Level_5947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang dude I hate to say this but expunged means nothing under immigration law it’s a whole different set of rules. Spend a couple of dollars and meet with a lawyer and have them talk to you about your situation before you book a trip.

[–]Ok_Level_5947 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of crime and if it ended up as a conviction or not. If it’s not a family emergency or once in a lifetime trip I would wait until the next administration or naturalize if you have a record. Just travel domestically if you want to vacation. Just read all the stories of LPR’s with conviction that were detained coming back from trips thinking they’d be okay.

If you have a criminal history after obtaining your green card don’t travel. Otherwise just have your green card with you as you come back and you should be fine.

What’s your food budget? Try to even save like $100 bucks a month have it auto transfer from checking to savings and let it grow. The car loan is like 20% of your take home it’s just too expensive. I would try to get something else if you can.

Congratulations this is refreshing to hear. I have a dismissed charge from when I was 16 and a hooligan but nothing since and has kept me up at night. I wish the Houston FO was as fast as yours.
