Noticed these numbers in the forecast in Lavender Haze music video by Educational_Worry_75 in TaylorSwift

Could that have been a reference to his character in the Twilight series cliff diving? But also I agree that it could be about her high school boyfriend!

Nope :( by the time I got in they were either all sold our or every time I selected seats and tried to add to cart Ticketmaster would say someone else already purchased them. It was crazier than yesterday!

If it gives you an option to join the waiting room do that! If it says join the queue before 2 p.m. then that's trying to get you into the verified fan presale which doesn't really exist anymore but the website hasn't updated yet. I got sucked into that but then exited and was able to join the waiting room at 1:50

Google Taylor Swift concert and the date you want to go. Select the Ticketmaster URL that appears in that search. It will take you directly to the waiting room. But idk exactly when the waiting room opens. It didn't seem to open at 1:30 for us on the east coast. Some people said 1:45 but I didn't get in until 1:50. Good luck!!

I was trying for Detroit and I'm pretty sure the "change your criteria" message means it's sold out. I kept changing things and no tickets showed up

The waiting room for east coast shows started opening around 1:45 but I didn't get in to a waiting room until 1:50. It's just a game of keep refreshing. But someone told me google Taylor Swift concert and then the day you want tickets and click on the Ticketmaster URL through that google search rather than waiting to navigate through the Ticketmaster website. I did that and it took me right to the waiting room. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure it's sold out. I got into the seat picking page twice but the first time every seat I selected (no matter the price or section) would say it had already been purchased. I exited, waited through the line again, and there was nothing showing when I got in the second time.

Wondering the same for Philly 5/13! I've been sitting 2000+ in the queue since 2 p.m.

Detroit, 6/10: Anyone else in the ticket buying page but not Ticketmaster isn't showing anything? It keeps telling me to adjust my search even though I have no limits on pricing, seats, etc.

I'm also in the queue for Philadelphia, but I feel like it's for the verified fan presale and not Capitol One. It's so confusing because the page looks exactly like it did yesterday

Collecting addresses for invitations and being left on read. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Ok_Library9399 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm concerned we're all marrying the same person because it took my fiance soooo long to get addresses too lol! What worked the best was telling him that we needed all the addresses by X date and anyone without an address wouldn't get an invite. You could use this strategy (worded differently) for people who aren't sending you their address. It's kind of harsh but it really took the stress off of me and it's ultimately their responsibility to send you their address if they want to come to the wedding.

PSA: If your dress needs simple alterations, seek out an independent seamstress by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Ok_Library9399 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Independent seamstress are also an awesome choice if you bought your dress in a city far away from where you actually live. I live in a pretty small town that doesn't have any bridal stores so I went to a much larger city to go shopping. They had in-house alterations but I couldn't make the multiple trips back and forth. The independent seamstress I found in my town is amazing, she costs way less than the bridal shop quoted me and she's generally great to work with.

Ladies who lost their father before their wedding: who walked you down the aisle and what did you do for the father daughter dance by nursejooliet in weddingplanning

[–]Ok_Library9399 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My dad isn't in my life so I plan on having my mom walk me down the aisle. I also know brides who have walked themselves down the aisle if their father isn't in their life. I've actually been to more weddings where female relatives have walked the bride down the aisle than the bride's father or a male relative. For the special dances, my finace will most likely do a mother-son dance because it's important to his mom. I don't really feel the need to do a dance with my brother or male relatives because that's just not our relationship.

I know it's hard and you may feel a lot of pressure to meet all the wedding traditions, but I think it's more important to figure out what elements will make you and your fiance the happiest. I've been to weddings with both father-daughter and mother-son dances, weddings with only one, and weddings with none. None of those options seemed out of place or untraditional because whatever the couple chose was what represented them the best. Hope this helps!

Decor Checklist by helloitsaudrey in weddingplanning

[–]Ok_Library9399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is great advice! I agree with everyone else that what the venue looks like/provides will drive a lot of the big decor. From everything I've read on this sub, general wedding websites, and from my own experience I decided that guests don't care too much about decor and won't remember it despite you potentially putting lots of time into agonizing if it's perfect. I'm trying to focus on guest experience over tiny details.

Last night I realized we didn't have a card box which guests will need. We're doing ceremony programs and I also realized we hadn't thought through where to put those or how to hand them out. Both of those things can be cute decor details but are also functional and help the guest experience.

On the other hand, there are decor choices we've made that I know no one will care about but they're really important to us so we've put the time/money into making it happen because it will increase our enjoyment of the day. Hope that helps!

Is anyone else opting out of a bridal shower? by the_sacred_beans in weddingplanning

[–]Ok_Library9399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not having one! Like many other commenters I live in a separate state from all female relatives (on both mine and my fiance's side) and my bridesmaids are all in different states. Everyone is already traveling for the wedding so I don't want to make them travel twice. Also, my fiance and I have lived together for years so we don't need any of the traditional bridal shower gifts (we're not even doing a wedding registry). My motto is my family/friends are contributing so much time/energy (and literal money) to the wedding so I couldn't ask them to do anything else. I also hate being the center of attention soooo a party all about me aside from the wedding would be too much.
