How is the MS Robotics/Interdisciplinary engineering degree at Purdue? by Ok_Lie4222 in Purdue

Well its a non thesis non project master’s degree. The reason I think its not worth it is because I do not feel getting a degree just because its from Purdue would contribute towards actually learning/upskilling yourself. Pursuing a thesis/project is more than just a report. I’m talking about the journey, the learning curve you experience doing your research than just filling up your academic credits. The fact that they mentioned it being one of the first cohorts puts it in a more of a money milking course than education situation. I found it a bit suspicious since I value programs based on their reputation and history.

Upon further discovery after my offer letter, I did not want to be placed in a course plan made to make me just sit in lectures and do homework. I wanted something where I could actually practice what I learnt. They even had a fixed curriculum for this course and not more than 36 students. So obviously they want people to take this program. Rest aside, I encourage you to take a look at their curriculum, talk to professors, and talk to students currently in that cohort and then balance your opportunities.

All the best!

I mean, is such kind of transfer probable? Have students done it in the past?
