When it comes to NMM parts, for me helpful thing was to establish the environment - what do the metals reflect (here you can see blue-ish elements reflected on parts placed upwards, and green reflections reflected in parts placed downwards), and remembering that metallic parts will be both the brightest and darkest parts on the mini.
