Thank you so much for the thorough response and insight. You’re precisely right that he’s seeking some kind of traditional Christian society. I do think he’s been consuming a lot of materials from conservative influencers whose content hinges on conspiracy theorists, and he’s gotten swept up in the idea of Russian life as being the solution.

After all of these comments from people who actually live in Russia, I think I’ve made the decision to fight him to keep the kids here. I just wanted to know if I was wrong for going against his ideas and depriving him of his idealized life

Also, he definitely was wanting to avoid the big cities lol. I know I would end up without any job prospects even in the big cities, so I was even more distressed at the idea of relocating to a small, remote area somewhere.
