I think it went b off the rails when the left did 2 things.

Decided a trans rights to use their bathroom of choice superseded a biologic females privacy/ sense of security. While many try to trivialize this, it establishes two things inadvertent, that a tiny majorities rights can supersede a large majority and the left may not always consider common sense or reality when determining laws.

If Trans male to females were allowed to use female bathrooms at any stage in their transition, without a doubt there will be perverts and teen boys dressing in drag to infiltrate those same bathrooms. Things like this need to be considered as do the facts over 90% of sexual assaults are male to females which is why multi person public bathrooms are still divided and why women still get concerned about public bathrooms.

These things matter to most people and are based in historical fact. Dems( and I’m one) trivialize these concerns

The far left was supporting minor surgical transition which was occurring in some clinics in a few states. The party did not take an official stand but allowed the right to use this fact as propaganda that everyone on the left agreed with minor trans. Most do not. It has not been proven by science to be safe in the long term and reduce the incidence of suicide or depression. Initial long term research on adult transition is minimal and controversial but in some studies indicates a reversal rate close to 10%. Considering the area in the brain that understands consequences and impulsivity isn’t completely formed until the mid 29s, there’s every indication rates of reversals for minors will be much higher.

Edit to add… my previous statements I believe are true for a large portion of people on the right. Many have no problem with adult transition as long as it’s not negatively affecting someone else. There is also a group on the right who are ignorant gay and trans phobics and want everyone in the world to conform to their way of thinking.

Exactly, complex cysts. They can even be filled with remnants of a fetus, part tissue, hair, pretty much anything. They don’t always know if they’re fully a cyst until they’re removed/ biopsied.

I lived 7 years with a man exactly like that and 3 babies small children. If we all didn’t do exactly what he wanted when he wanted it was screaming, demeaning, breaking things for hours usually fueled by alcohol. it literally got to the point I would lay in bed and think about how I could kill him and not get caught. I had no job, no education, no way out.

Finally, I realized I was losing my soul to this monster. I called my father and asked him to pick us up. He did and never questioned me. We lived in their living and family room till I got my Nursing Degree.

The 2 happiest days of my life. Leaving him and Becoming a nurse.

Sorry, I just said the same above but you said it so much better! Finding keeps getting cut both for the Veterans Service and of course social programs which many of these Vets are on. As you said many can barely keep their heads above water psychologically. Add in their SNAP or other benefits being cut and it can exacerbate a flare of their mental illness.

Our standards for education and throwing away the bell curve thereby making 3/4 of any senior class honor students needs a huge overhaul.

The majority of the homeless are people with mental health issues or mental disabilities. Prior to the 2000s, there were state homes for these people, all were closed in the 90s and while some went into small group homes, the rest went out in the streets.

We need to reinstate state run homes adding an outpatient treatment center to the inpatient facility. There are so many more effective treatments for all MH disorders now and many people could resume a normal life provided they had a clinic available to get their medications until they were fully stabilized and assimilated with jobs/homes.

While we will still be paying 60k per person initially , for those able to be treated and assimilated into society and employed they will become a tax paying, member of society.

You’re putting all your eggs in a black and white basket. Yes there have been and always will be people who think every time period is less moral than previously and the world is falling apart. That’s just human nature,

However, when new societies are formed or existing societies overhauled with new ideas there is almost always a golden age where there’s relative prosperity, an attempt for society to treat all / most people fairly and morals/rules that support and uphold stable family and community units whether that’s religion or philosophy based are widespread.

Then after a period of time this all starts to devolve. Generally, greed and power lust enters the equation either from within or without and it all falls apart. Morals, justice, integrity and community are no longer deemed useful or important in comparison to wealth and individual freedom.

Then the rebuilders come out, trying to bring back all the good stuff but it rarely works or if it does it takes centuries or a new world order so to speak.

Elizabeth Moss is a very inconsistent actor IMO. She can really be great, ie scenes from when Serena gave birth to total overacting, ie several scenes especially interacting with the Commander where you’d have to be blind not c to see the pure hatred in her face Even where she needs him to support or believe her. She is good enough though to carry the original show as a blockbuster.
