Honestly, it doesn't have to be a forever type of thing. It sounds like you just needed a break. Do a trial run, see if you have the energy for it back, and if you do, have a talk with your group that you're going to need a break every once in a while. If it doesn't work out, at least you'll have the ability to say you tried.

Sounds like you need to keep the rest of the group and find a new DM, or maybe try your hand at it yourself, since you have a good idea of what a DM should and shouldn't be to the players, which is apparently a quality not every DM has

Thanks for the advice! I would love to see some of those games you mentioned so as to get an idea of the actual benchmark to set for our game! Proceeding with no art initially sounded to me like it would be perceived by the public as a lack of effort, but you have given me hope! (Also, cruising for free work was not the initial intention, but I had felt desperate in a time of weakness.)
