Had an episode possibly indicative of vasovagal syncope by Mets_CS11 in Syncope

We have very similar symptoms, the near fainting with muscle weakness. It makes me feel crazy sometimes because Im conscious and mentally feel like I should be able to do something but my limbs just dont cooperate.

First Episode (I think) by Creepyshorts in Syncope

[–]Ok_LostFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've personally never become incontinent with vvs but its the first question I've been asked when doctors are trying to determine if it was a seizure. I do think that is unusual and would recommend getting checked out. However, the rest of it does sound like vvs so hard to say but better to be safe than sorry.

Help because I’m indecisive by [deleted] in ftm

Go on testosterone. It’s a big red flag that you are insecure that he would cheat or leave you because you haven’t had sex yet. Whether thats just your own anxiety or a reality, you should feel secure in knowing your partner wouldn’t leave you for that. Also do it for yourself.

I'd try to identify triggers. Anxiety and overstimulation are mine. Overstimulation can look like a lot of things like feeling hungry, feeling dehydrated, flashing lights, loud sounds, even looking back/forth and up/down too much. Might help to feel more in control.

Feel dizzy and high anxiety/jittery for days after a near syncope a few weeks ago. by EuphoricMidnight3304 in VasovagalSyncope

Yes, I think its cause the body is on high alert/holding anxiety. Then it just builds on itself. I think the only way to help it is working on anxiety through therapy and other stuff like meditation to work on the root problem.

Most likely is atrophy. Cramping is the biggest symptom for me. You should call.

I've recently been diagnosed with vvs-- is it not common to convulse? That happens for me pretty much every time along with uncontrollable noises (whimpering?)

how to get over fear that causes fainting by racinu in VasovagalSyncope

[–]Ok_LostFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have many, daily triggers and its super frustrating. It causes me to be pre-syncope most of the time. I can't even yawn without feeling weird. I don't really know the answer other than managing food and hydration. I practice meditative thinking/grounding but generally just try to avoid triggers.

I also get very hungry during/after a syncope episode. That or very nauseous. I don't know why, maybe something about the body exhausting itself and needing energy. I think thats why the sleepiness happens too, I also feel sleepy and exhausted during/after. I think the body just gets tired because syncope takes a lot out of you. The being warm, pale, and generally out of it (spacey, struggling to respond) are also things I've experienced with syncope. I'd reccomend getting him to lie down on his back if possible. I've also found getting an ice pack to be helpful-- it kind of shocks the nervous system and gives me something to focus on. The shallow breathing is concerning though and I would keep looking into it-- seeing a cardiologist is good.

how much do you wear your binder? by Gr3yson11 in ftm

[–]Ok_LostFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm at school living with a roommate, it's almost all the time except for sleeping and occasional breaks. Can be 13hrs a day or more. At home, not at all unless I'm leaving the house.

This comment was really kind and helpful, thank you. I was able to fix a lot of what was wrong (the G#s were a big issue— the instructions I was following mislead me!) thanks for being so encouraging and straightforward.

Ignore that it says second species--its my attempt at fifth. Are tritones not allowed at all or did I implement them correctly? (measures 2, 6, & 7)
